"I...I really, REALLY like you..." Her face was bright red as she finally managed to force the words out through her lips, and a sense of relief finally filled her, she had finally managed to express herself. However, the tension was still not gone. She opened her eyes slowly to look at him. His expression was utter surprise.
Why wouldn't he be surprised? She was one of the popular girls, while he was merely average in most senses.
With full, brown hair and an adorable face, slightly pale skin and average height. Her body slender, say for the fact that she had the biggest rack in her class, which got her a LOT of attention.
Gradually, however, his expression went from surprise to...a look of guilt?
"I, um... I don't know...how to say this, but..." He began. There was an awkward silence that followed, before he took a deep breath. "I'm...not interested in you. N-not in any girl, really..." He looks away as he admits it, letting her stand there, and have his words sink in.
"...You...like guys then...?" She asks carefully, receiving a hesitant nod in return.
More awkward silence.
As she was about to just...walk away, an odd feeling swept over her, and not that of sadness.
Dread swept over her as the breeze had suddenly...stopped completely. Actually, he wasn't moving either. At all. Not even breathing. A plane was stuck in the air, not moving an inch.
"H...huh? W-what's...going on?" She thinks out loud, glancing in any direction for some sort of explanation, only to realize another thing...she couldn't move from where she was standing. In other words, her feet were stuck to the ground.
And, unknown to her, a life-changing change was just about to hit her.
