"Where ith thith Realm Gate," I asked.
"Anxiouth aren't we," Heem said seductively. "It'th about a mile north of the camp. We'll head off in the morning, all right."
He caressed my cheek and I responded with, "That sounds great. We should rest for now though."
I waited until Heem was asleep before sneaking out. Thankfully I met no one on my way out, but this also concerned me. "Where are all the guards?" I thought as I continued to make my way back to the surface. Once I was there I got my answer. In the courtyard it seemed that every guard had gathered and been knocked out by a group of figures standing in the center. Looking closer I saw Runt and the gargoyle from earlier alongside a satyr than I didn't recognize. But the big surprise was the Minotaur holding one of the guards above his head before throwing him against the wall beside me. He looked straight at me and was about to charge when Runt grabbed his arm and he stopped. I looked into that Minotaur face an recognized him straight away.
"Feroth," I said before walking over to them. "What are you doing here?"
"Feros followed Hudson and Runt into city," Feros said. "Saw you enter portal. Feros wanted to stay with Hudson, so Feros enter portal behind you."
"He was almost captured trying to enter the camp but managed to knock out anyone who tried to capture him," Runt said. "He found and freed us pretty soon after getting into the camp and I explained things to him. We were about to come down and get you actually but now that you're here I guess that's unnecessary."
"Yeah, but thankfully I was in no danger," I said. "Theemth our pig-man friend hath an intimate relationship with the captain of the camp." The gargoyle tried to scream at me when he heard that, apparently forgetting that he's mute. "I got him to tell me about a Realm Gate he'th built. It'th about a mile north of here."
"Good job! Now all we have to do is get there before more guard show up. Seeing as Feros wants to follow you I guess he'll be coming along. Our new Saytr friend Patrick over here has nowhere else to go so I guess he can join us. I don't know what to do with you though," Runt said looking at the gargoyle.
"He'll be coming too," a voice said behind us.
Turning around we saw Heem standing at the entrance to the underground passages. Feros makes to charge but I stop him. "How long have you been there," I ask.
"Long enough," He replies. "Tho what do we have here. A minotaur, a thatyr, a chaoth demon, thomeone dithguithed as Regi and Regi dithguithed ath a gargoyle. Well this thertainly is a mith matched group ithn't it. But no matter. I keep the Realm Gate thwitch off motht of the time. I'm the only one who hath the pathword. If you want to uthe it then Regi and I are coming with you."
"This isn't a trick is it," Patrick asked obviously the most wary of us due to having been in there the longest.
"I'd been planning to leave thith plathe for ageth," Heem said. "Ath if I'm going to trick the people that are gonna give me my one chathe at freedom."
"Well then it seems we have an accord," Runt said. "But just to be safe you and Regi are walking in front of Feros and Patrick while me and Hudson bring up the rear."
"That'th fine with me" Heem replied.
And with that we headed off for the Realm Gate.
