Tanya opened the door, and quickly turned back to her room, searching for something.
"Have you seen my shoes? I have practice today, and I can't find them anywhere, " said Tanya. "The only ones in my room are these kids shoes. I don't even know how they got in here!"
Cindy sighed inwardly. She still hasn't figured it out yet, thought Cindy happily. While Tanya was distracted, Cindy ducked through the doorway.
"Sorry, Tanya. I would loan you mine, but I doubt they would fit, " said Cindy, stretching to her full height, 4 inches taller than Tanya. "Maybe you should stay home today."
Tanya stopped digging through the mess of her room. "Maybe you're right. My body does feel weird today. And everything seems a little off. " She held some of her dirty clothes in her hands, staring at the small garments. "Do these look small to you?" Everything in her room seemed a little smaller to Tanya
"Must have shrunk in the wash, " said Cindy with a smile. Tanya looked up at her taller friend. She was still the same height, so it must have been in her mind.
Tanya looked at the clock. "Sorry, I gotta go. I don't really need shoes for volleyball anyway, " said Tanya, as she brushed past Cindy. Her head collided with top of the doorframe with a painful thud.
"Oh, be careful, " said Cindy. "I think the landlord is doing some work on the doors."
Tanya shook her head, dazed. She didn't have time to ponder the ridiculous statement. She was late for practice.
"Oh, almost forgot, " said Tanya, as she ran into the bathroom, and squirted her pits with the perfume. "Don't want to be stinky, " said Tanya, as she carefully ducked under the doorframe, and ran out of their apartment.
