Ty always had a thing for frog legs. And these were gigantic!
He had never seen frog legs of that size! He totally forgot about
Jennifer and thought only of "Cuisses de Grenouille". Or how
about "sautéed frogs' legs"? Ty had seen them served simply
with garlic and lemon juice. He had always dreamed of dining
on frogs' legs at the annual frog fair at Vittel in France, but
he had never come around it. Well ... first there was the
financial issue. He had never had the money to do it, but
since he had gotten the powers to do as he pleased he could
have afforded to go or at least to wish to be there. That would
be enough. Just to wish to be at Vittel and have frog's legs
as many as he wanted.
The frog in his arm said "ribbit, ribbit" in disapproval, or
so it seemed. "Anyway, where was I?" Ty exclaimed. "Oh,
right!" With that he turned the frog upside down, grabbed
it by its feet and smashed its head onto the ground. He then
took out a knife and cut off the ´legs and left the rest for the
birds. He then went home and on his way thought about what
he'd do to those yummy frog legs. Should he fry them with
garlic and butter? Or how about some pesto and garlic, simmed
in a pan with some black pepper and Himalayan salt? He could
put the frog legs into the oven, they were large enough for
that. When they were done and ready he could use the basil-
pesto with garlic as some kind of dip.
Just thinking of it was mouthwatering. And as he had reached
his home, he did so. He cooked the frog legs up and made himself
the most delicious meal he had in ages. Despite all his powers,
there was nothing that could beat home-cooked meals with
fresh ingredients. Something, however, was nagging on him.
There was something he should have thought about, something
important, something he should not have forgotten. Ty was looking
at his plate and at the two frog legs he was about to eat.
"Oh, right!" he said. How could he forget? "French baguette!
Whats a French meal without the baguette?" Ty snapped his
fingers and the typical French white-bread appeared. There
was no stopping now: Ty dug in and enjoyed his meal!
