It was the next morning when Jarrett got up a silver medallion still in his pocket. The dig had recently uncovered a deep dark cavern huen out of solid bedrock and he had wonders about what lay inside.
As he collected two torches and a flashlight Scooby and the Professor stood by wishing to join his hunt. The three set off to do what was the original idea when first they came to the dig. Jarrett pointed their way till all three stood in the opening to a very dark hole.
Torches lit they walked slowly down a corridor of solid rock. The sun light from the mouth of this tunnel dimmed till gone as their tunnel curved and twisted moving ever more down.
Then a twinkle ahead, Jarrett stopped holding the torch a little ahead of the group.
As the Professor did the same they stood mouths open astonished at the sight. Walls, ceiling were layered in pure gold. The floor huen out of the solid rocks was smooth as if made of marble. Impressions of Inca lifestyles were everywhere as they split up to study their newest find.
In the front and center stood a tall white stone. As Jarrett held the torch up high he saw a round inset made for something of a certain shape to fit.
"Here, the Medallion, it belongs in here!" said Jarrett slowly as a hand reached for the silver bobble.
Scooby and the Professor stood like privates in the Army as both watched Jarrett pull out the Medallion and fit it into the undented spot on the white stone.
As the Medallion slipped into place it's bright glow began till the room was ablaze of it's light. Jarrett and the others shaded their eyes from the brighness and looked about wondering what might be next?
"I have returned to the place of honor where the Maker's intended! Are you Inca's or thieves? Speak or know my wrath!" said the loud voice of the Medallion.
"We are students of history and a scientist who have returned you to the place of honor!" said Jarrett his voice a good bit shakey.
"My powers have been drained by foolish people looking for a better life! To those who have sought a paradise to them I grant their delights! I grant also your fond wish for my return to this place, wish and it shall be done!" said the Medallion in a clear but bold voice.
Scooby smiled, the Professor stood and stared, as Jarrett asked the Medallion a question.
"Great Medallion, I have a question would you honor me by hearing it?' asked Jarrett summing up as much boldness as he might.
"Ask Honored one!" replied the Medallion.
"I ask if for those who sought a paradise in being other than what they were born to this world, could I make a wish to bring them back to their original selves?" asked Jarrett being humble and loving.
All was quiet as if the Medallion was thinking his answer through.
"Honored one, your question bares merritt, you have greatness is what you ask. Those who sought out a different existence and retained some of their human memories can be returned. Oh but there are quite a few who have surcomed to the lusty life as animals, they are as they shall remain to lifes end, beasts being as beasts!" replied the Medallion.
"Medallion, if my wish was possible then so do I wish for all those who can be returned to return to the way they once were, please!" asked Jarrett as the Professor placed his hand upon Jarrett's shoulder.
The Medallion began to glow, and glow brighter yet.
