You open your eyes, the fairy wasn't in the bed with you. A quick check of your lady parts suggested they're back to being human. In the back of your mind, you feel disappointed. "Hello, uh... fairy- whatever your name is; are you there?"
You see her silhouette on the other side of the curtains. "Hmm..." she responds, "...yeah, I'm here." You walk out to the balcony, but stop in the doorway, the fairy seems half-lost in thought.
"You okay?" You ask.
"I'm fine, but what of you?" She asks before raising her wings and vibrating them slightly. "You really want to have this?"
"Wings?"
"Everything; the wings, the magic, the life of a fairy? You do remember what you shouted last night, don't you?"
It was something of a blur of bizarre new sensations, but there was a moment you remember; what you shouted at the height of passion. "I do remember. I never really thought about it... until last night. I never imagined I'd make such a wish."
"Did you mean it?"
You walk over beside her, take her hand in yours, look her straight in the eye and said. "Every word of it."
Even the fairy seemed surprised; her face beamed with joy. As a fairy, she could smell deceit and trickery miles away, but there was none to be found here. Still, she couldn't help but wonder something. "Why, would you, a human, a former male, at that, be so willing to give up everything to become a fairy?"
"There's not much I'd be giving up, to be honest. I have very little family, none of which I'm any kind of close to; but, even if I did, I can think of no one, I'd be willing to give it all up for, than you. Oh, and I saw how you acted when you came back for me last night.
"Oh, you caught that, huh?" She said sheepishly.
You nod. "It was clear you had feelings for me, I wouldn't have even asked for 'hanky-panky' if I wasn't sure. So, what are we waiting for, let's go make a fairy out of me!"
