In the forest, away from the chaos of the ravaged Zoo, it was quiet and almost peaceful. A few animals scurried for cover out of their path, but otherwise it was silent. Heather was the first one to speak.
"Man, that was fun, " she said with a smile, as she continued to walk through the forest to the mountains in the distance. "I haven't had that much fun in a long while."
"You are a monster, " said Kim softly.
"Correction - we are a monster, " said Heather as she began to laugh. When no one else joined her, she realized that they didn't think her little joke was funny. "Oh, c'mon. It wasn't that bad. Nobody got hurt. Well, maybe a few of the Zoo staff, but they deserved it. All I did was crush a few buildings. No big deal."
"Really, 'Behemoth'? No big deal? " said Kim angrily.
"Okay, okay. So maybe I went a little over the top, and got a teensy bit out of control. But can you blame me? That felt good. It still feels good. What do you think, John? You've been pretty quiet."
John had been staring glumly at the ground since they entered the forest. "This isn't what I wanted, " said John sadly, never looking up from the ground. "You tricked me. "
"So? Who cares? " said Heather. "All that matters is the end result. I did what was best for you..... what was best for all of us. I gave you a fantastic gift, and you act like I killed your favorite pet or something. Don't you enjoy this power, this body?"
John said nothing and continued to stare at the ground as they walked.
"Man, I guess I am stuck with a couple of wet blankets. Maybe I need to add a few more heads with a better attitude, " said Heather.
"NO!" said Kim and John simultaneously.
Heather laughed. "Relax, I was just kidding. I think I have two heads too many as it is. I mean, you guys should be thanking me. The only reason I added John to our little cadre was to help Kim. You guys were so pathetic. So lovely dovey, but acting all tragic because you couldn't be together. Well, now you can be together forever."
"Don't lie, " said Kim angrily. "Don't act like you care about him. You only did this to free yourself."
"No, I did this to free 'ourselves'. Like I said, you should be thanking me. Your little boyfriend there didn't love you enough to let you go. He was content to let you rot in that cage with me forever, like you were his pet or something. You may not agree with what I did, but at least I had the courage to do something, " said Heather.
They walked in uneasy silence for a while. It was John who finally broke the silence.
"Kim, I am sorry. She's right. I should have been more brave, and had the courage to set you free. Maybe I was afraid to let you go. Maybe I was keeping you confined so you wouldn't reject me when you were free, " said John.
"No, John, you have nothing to be sorry for. You did the right thing. I ... well, I guess we are dangerous, and we should never have been set free. Don't let that monster get to you, " said Kim.
Heather scoffed.
"Really, John, I am the one who should be sorry. I am sorry that you thought I wouldn't want to be with you if I were free. I am sorry that you thought we were just friends. I love you, and I guess I should have been more honest with you, " said Kim.
"It's my fault, too. I should have been honest myself, and admitted my true feelings. I love you, too, no matter what you look like. I don't like being like this, but I have to say, I am glad that I am stuck with you, " said John.
"Awwww, " said Kim. She leaned her neck below Heather, and met John's head below her for a kiss.
"Now that's more like it. I bet you guys were waiting a long time to do that. No need to thank me, " said Heather. Kim and John ignored her, and just enjoyed the moment, placing their large heads beside each other.
"That just warms my heart. It warms something else up, too, " said Heather.
As soon as they left the Zoo, she noticed that her groin felt strange. Something inside her cloaca tingled a little. As they continued to walk, the tingling became a warmth that spread throughout her abdomen. It felt like something was changing in there, shifting around. Now, the feeling was stronger. It was almost a pressure, as if something was waiting to be released. She had hoped it was just a full bladder. She knew by the looks on Kim and John's face they could feel it, too. She stopped in a clearing by the stream, and tried to relieve herself. They were all curious just to see what came out.
