"You... you did this? " said Jake with a mixture of shock and anger. He ran over to Gina, and glared down at her.
"No, no.. of course not, " said Gina meekly. Gina was used to being the tall one, and staring up at her old body she felt intimidated.
Jake sensed her fear, and realized that he was now the one in control, the one with power. The bully had become the bullied. He smiled, and decided to use the opportunity for a little payback.
"So, who's the pipsqueak, now, huh?" said Jake, poking Gina hard in the biceps. Gina winced, and pulled her arm away.
"Owww! Easy, that hurts, " said Gina.
"I know it does. After all the times you did it to me how could I forget?" said Jake angrily. He crossed his arms, and looked down at Gina with a look of triumph and malice.
"What .... what are you talking about? We don't have time to mess around. We need to figure out what happened to us and reverse it, " said Gina.
"Why? So you can get your body back and return to making my life a living hell? So you can continue to torture me and hurt me?" said Jake. "Maybe I like the way things are now. Maybe I want to stay this way."
"What are you talking about? I never hurt you, " said Gina angrily.
"Of course you did. You were always following me around. Touching me, poking me, rubbing my hair, practically groping me. It was like you made it your personal mission to harass me. Why else would you be so interested in me?" said Jake.
Gina blushed bright red. "Well ... the truth is ... I like you, Jake. I haven't had much experience with boys and dating and stuff like that. Most of the guys think I am freaky, being so tall and all, and avoid me. But you seemed like a nice guy, different from the others. And you are very cute, " said Gina.
Jake was shocked, and he dropped his hands down as his eyes went wide and his jaw hit the ground. Then it all made since. The stalking, the constant attention, the endless touching and poking. She had been trying to flirt with him, but because she had no experience with it, she was just very bad at it.
"Why ... why didn't you just say something? " said Jake.
Gina blushed and became an even deeper shade of red. Jake didn't know his body was capable of that.
"Well, I like you, Jake. I really, really like you. And I was afraid that you wouldn't like me that way. I kinda thought we were friends, and I thought if you rejected me I would be alone again. It is so lonely being like that, being so tall. Boys think you are ugly, and the girls think you are a lesbian, even though that couldn't be further from the truth. I like being a girl, being a really girly girl. But you have no idea how hard it is to find nice clothes and shoes with a body like that. But I guess if you really want to stay like that, you will find out soon. You will learn how lonely it is at the top, " said Gina with a laugh.
Jake paled. He just wanted to scare Gina a little, but now he was the one who was scared. He had no intention of staying this way. He had no desire to be woman, much less a freaky tall one.
"No, you're right. We need to fix this, " he said quietly. "Any ideas?"
