They quickly exchanged clothes, and got dressed. They decided to keep the necklace in Jake's bag for safekeeping, just to make sure it didn't cause any more problems. Jake saw Gina hesitate and examine his penis while she changed out of her shorts, and it caused him to be a little embarrassed. But the increasingly loud sound of the approaching students caused him to quickly refocus on getting dressed. They were almost out the door when the students saw Jake in Gina's body exit the boys locker room, and Gina in Jake's body still getting dressed. The girls covered their mouths and giggled, and the guys started whistling and giving each other high fives.
"Just what is going on here? " said the gym instructor, as he forced his way through the crowd of students. He saw the guilty looks on Gina and Jake's faces. "Young lady, I suggest you go to your own locker room right now and get changed for class. And you young man - that is the last time you fake an illness so you can fool around with your girlfriend."
"Oooooo, girlfriend, " said several of the other girls, and they began to giggle again.
"Quiet! I think everyone needs to get ready right now if they don't want to be late for class ... and get detention, " said the gym instructor.
The crowd of students broke apart, as the boys and girls headed to their respective locker rooms. Jake followed the other girls into their locker room. He could hear some of the girls whispering and saw some of them pointing at him. He was almost through the door when someone grabbed him roughly by the arm.
"Gina, is it true? Did you skip practice to fool around with some boy? " said Coach Miller. "You were all over the place today during practice. I thought maybe you were sick or something. But maybe it is just a little lovesickness. Listen, you are a great player with a bright future ahead of you. Don't let some loser derail your train to success!"
Jake pulled his arm out of her grasp. He was taller than even Coach Miller, and glared down at her. "He's not a loser!" he said.
Coach Miller sighed. "Okay, I am sorry. That was rude. I am sure he is a very nice boy. But we have scouts coming to the next game. You need to keep focused!"
Jake paled, and suddenly realized that he had no idea how long it might be before he and Gina figured out how to switch back. What if he did have to play basketball in Gina's place? He had played basketball with his friends, but he did not have Gina's training. He didn't think it was right to mess up Gina's future college dreams.
"Okay, Coach. I will work harder. I promise, " said Jake
"That's the spirit. That's the old Gina I like to see, " said Coach Miller. "Just bring that same drive and determination to practice after school today."
Jake frowned, and hoped that he wouldn't have to. He silently prayed that the old Gina - the real Gina - would be the one at practice this afternoon.
