You swim as fast as you can to the shore; unaware that the other mermaids began to follow you. Unbeknownst to you still, was that the one you were making out with stopped the others. "I saw her mind when we kissed;" the mermaid said; "she has a girlfriend. If we're patient, we may very well have TWO new sisters in time."
Meanwhile, you make it to the shoreline, scramble to squeeze into your clothes, despite them not quite fitting right and head back to your car. There, it hits you: Where do you go from here? Who would even believe you were you? There was only one person close by who you had a slight chance to believe you. You start the car and drive to your girlfriend Sally's apartment.
You hesitate at the door; you have no idea what she'll say, or how she'll react. You've been going out for almost a year and a half now, and you can only hope you've gotten to know her well enough in that time to convince her. At the very least, enough to convince her to let you into the pool to prove your story. Lucky for you, she happens to be the pool's lifeguard. You knock at the door and wait. Soon, Sally opened the door. "Yes, can I help... wait, those look like my boyfriend's clothes."
"Sally, please, I'm in big trouble. I need your help!"
"How did you know my name?"
"It's me, Eric! Please, hear me out!"
"It's too early for this, tell Eric if he wants to play a joke on me, don't do it at one in the morning." She began to close the door, when you put your foot inside.
"I AM Eric, and I can prove it! I'll whisper something in your ear, something only Eric knows and would never tell anyone else."
Maybe she didn't entirely believe you, but, she at least believed the desperation in your face. "Make it quick." She turned her ear to you.
"You're bisexual." It was her biggest secret, not even her parents knew of it and you swore never to tell anyone, ever
"If this is a prank, I'm going to kill him and you!"
"I swear, it's not; you've got to believe me!" tears began to well up in your eyes. Sally looked at you, studied your face. She seemed to see something familiar in you.
Sally sighed, pulled you into the apartment and closed the door. "Assuming you ARE Eric; which I'm not saying I believe... what the hell!?" she shouted, gesturing at your female body.
"I know it sounds crazy, and believe me, I still can't believe it myself, but..." Sitting down on Sally's couch, you told her of the mermaids, how they lured you in, seduced you, turned you into a girl, and, had you not escaped in time, planned on making you a mermaid like them.
"Mermaids? You expect me to believe that?"
"I expected you wouldn't," you got up off the couch and walked to the door, "which is why I want you to get your key, and meet me by the apartment swimming pool."
