"Wow," said Eric Anderson, in a small but awed tone of voice as they broke the kiss.
"That was very enjoyable," agreed Spencer Lawson with a smile, thinking that no matter what happened, there was at least one thing she could thank the were-mermaid for. At least Eric knew how to kiss, and he was great at it too!
"So..." began Eric, wondering how to say what he wanted to.
"I know," revealed Spencer, laying her head back upon his shoulder.

"Me too," quickly agreed Spencer.
"I still have to keep my promise to you and see how things turn out with Julie Stovall first, but..." began Eric, turning his head to look deep into Spencer's eyes.
"It would be wrong of me to say I hope things don't work out between the two of you," said Spencer. Though I don't want them too. "But if they don't..."
"Me too," said Eric with a smile.
Then they just sat there together on the couch for a while, enjoying the moment while Eric continued to hold Spencer in his arms.
Finally, Eric said, "I've been doing some research."
"Oh?" asked Spencer, looking up at him again.
"If things were to progress that far between us, since we have no idea how it would turn out if a hybrid were like yourself had... intimate relations with a normal," said Eric, recalling how Spencer said there was no way of knowing if he would become a wolf, a bi or gay werecat, or seriously beat the odds and become a hybrid were wolf/cat like herself, "what if I was to become a were before we—"
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?" asked Spencer, sitting up and taking a good hard look at Eric. Besides, I want to be the one to take your virginity, if possible.

I'd save that honor for you," said Eric, not wanting to admit that he was still a virgin, despite the fact that it was obvious between his age and not being a were. "It doesn't quite work that way Eric. Even if we did it first, you'd still have to have sex with them to fully complete your transformation, but otherwise that is so sweet of you," said Spencer before kissing him again, both actions filled with genuine affection. "But why one of those three?"
"You said you'd want someone to be able to keep up with you athletically, since you're the outdoors type. I'd do okay as a normal human, but those are the best candidates to keep up with an outgoing were like yourself."
"I see..." she replied, seriously thinking it over. "Now then. Besides keeping your promise to me that you will see how things turn out with Julie Stovall first, I also want you to promise me that IF things do get that far between us, you will not do anything without talking to me first. Okay?"
"Okay. I promise," swore Eric, before taking the risk of sealing that promise with another kiss. An action that Spencer did NOT object too.
"Now then my friend, would you like to stay and hang out for a while longer?" asked Spencer, before laying her head back on his shoulder and taking Eric's free hand in hers.
"I'd love too," he said, before kissing the top of her head.
They sat on the sofa for a bit, unaware of anything but the comforting presence of each other, before Spencer said, "By the way, IF it goes that far, the panther is the best choice. They're the sleekest of the three, and their fur would neatly match mine," she added, before raising her head up to kiss Eric again. I don't know what the hell I'm getting into here, but it feels right. Even better than the good times I had with Jeremy, before... she realized.
Then Spencer Lawson laid her head back on Eric Anderson's shoulder and snuggled closer to him.
