Since his last class of the day was the closest, Ben Twist was at the school building exit for the student parking lot long before the others. He was happy not only to have a three day weekend, but even more excited between there being plenty of opportunities to see his new girlfriend Kenya Adaeze over the extended time off, and there was no homework to do over the long weekend.
It didn't surprise Ben to soon see Eric Anderson walking with his girlfriend Julie Stovall toward him, holding hands and smiling at each other along the way; but it was a surprise to see Nate Anderson and his boyfriend Alex Ramsey soon approaching in a similar fashion.
"You two were serious about announcing you're an actual couple now, weren't you?" asked Ben as they drew near.
"Yes," replied Nate, before giving Alex a quick peck on the cheek. "Except for my folks' Skulk induction ceremony tomorrow night, we're going to see how much of the long weekend we can spend together."
"Without driving each other crazy or getting into trouble with our parents," quickly added Alex, which earned him a playful shove from Nate.
"You're parents are joining the Skulk?" Julie asked Eric, as Ben led everyone to his car.
"My dad officially, since he's a werefox now. My mom as an honorary member, since she's his wife, along with Jennifer Harper and Harry Jenkins, since they're both werefoxes now too," replied her boyfriend.
"When?" asked Julie, concerned it might interfere with her plans for Eric tomorrow.
"7:30."
Julie just simply smiled. That would still give her most of the day, especially if they got an early start...
Ben put Julie and Eric in the back seat behind him, and let Nate and Alex decide who was going to sit up front while the other sat in the back with the Freshmen. Nate quickly started getting into the passenger side of the front seat, while Alex grumbled something about a gentleman would have at least held the door open for his date.
Soon everyone had their seat belts on as Ben started his car and began the drive home. The conversation started with how their school days went, with everyone sharing the fact that none of them had homework that weekend.
"With the teachers off too because of the computer overhaul my mom's company is doing tomorrow, I guess everyone wanted to enjoy the weekend while it's still good weather," surmised Julie.
The older boys agreed and soon started talking about the wolf pack meeting that night, leaving the Freshmen couple out of the conversation.
Then, as Ben and Nate started discussing the test they would have later next week in the Science class they had together, Alex thought he'd be polite and try talking to the others.
Alex turned to look at Nate's younger brother and his girlfriend, but was shocked by what he saw.
Eric and Julie were kissing once more, but now a LOT more passionately than before. Yet even more amazing was the fact that Eric was now also fondling Julie's shirt covered breasts while she had her hands between Eric's legs, caressing what lied hidden in his pants!
Alex blinked and rubbed his eyes, but the scene didn't change. He coughed politely and softly said, "Ahem."
The couple turned their heads in unison to stare at him, and Alex briefly thought that if looks could kill, he'd be one dead werewolf at that moment. Besides the fierce scowls on their faces, both Eric and Julie stared at him with the deepest blue eyes that Alex had ever seen.
He was about to say something when Ben announced, "We're home."
Between that and the slight bump going over the curb and into the Twist family driveway, Eric and Julie blinked, and then acted as if nothing had happened.
"Thanks for the ride Mister Twist," said Julie politely as she started to get out of the car.
"You're welcome, and it's Ben. Remember?"
"Thank you Ben," said Julie with a smile.
"Hey. You coming with us Alex?" asked Eric before he got out of Ben's car. Nate's boyfriend wasn't sure whether or not he had just experienced a quick visit to The Twilight Zone, especially since Eric's eyes were now brown.
As Alex started getting out of the car, he couldn't help staring at Eric and Julie. They started innocently holding hands again as they walked toward the Anderson house, next door to the Twists.
Ben called out that he'd see the other guys later, before entering his house, while Nate got out of the car, looking at how Alex was just oddly standing there.
"You okay handsome?" asked Nate, wondering if there was something wrong with his boyfriend.
Alex just stared at Nate for a moment, then asked, "What color are Eric's eyes?"
"What? Brown like mine and how dad's used to be before he became a werefox. Why?"
"Nothing stud. Let's go see how good a dance teacher you are," replied Alex, as he stared at Eric and Julie again, who were now on the front porch and being let inside the house by Mrs. Anderson.
