Of course, for ninja's 'typical attire' was very different from what many thought. And this wasn't referring to the bright orange costumes that ninjas wore in animated action shows, carrying tornadoes and balled lightning in their hands. The black costumes that people thought of when thinking of ninjas were in fact black costumes used by stage hands in Japanese plays as a short hand to the audience that they were supposed to ignore these people, and thus, when one pulled a knife on one of the characters, it was supposed dramatic and shocking.
In general, if you could look at a ninja, and tell it was a ninja, they were not a good ninja. It was SAMURAI who were supposed to be visible deterrents to those seeking harm to their shogun. In general, a ninja would appear as the most 'face in the crowd' unexceptional general appear as possible. Using incense to even SMELL like the person they imitating (and were not above impersonating monks).
So the cursed doll that was once Mickey, when said she slipped in a more proper ninja attire, the doll wore a frilly red dress with shoes that looked pretty but were made for running, and had poison needles and tiny knives hidden throughout the folds of the skirt. The cursed dolls had a stronger connection to the castle than most of the ghouls that once inhabited the haunted castle, and she could sense the castle guiding her.
Sakura didn't give one thought to Mickey's life, he no longer matter, what mattered what serving the house and ensuring the mission of restoring its denizens succeeded. And there were plenty of humans who would come to fill up their lost numbers. Though Sakura knew that she couldn't be greedy and take all the humans for herself, there were many spots in the great castle to fill after all.
Justin of course had it in his mind that it had been his idea to dare the others into coming here, none aware it was the castle itself, nudging fate along that had inspired them to come here as others would.
Justin for his part was beginning to actually get worried. He hadn't expected them to stay in the castle this long. Were they trying to lure him in and then scare him to 'teach him a lesson?' Well, the joke was on them if they thought was going to fall for a trick like that. Then again, Nate DID say that he'd always wanted to explore the old castle Hollow Blood (it had been changed to Hollow Stone a few centuries back), so maybe they were just taking their sweet time. He hoped they didn't stay in there for too much longer, they had a monster movie marathon to catch after all.
"Momma." Said a cutesy voice recording.
Justin turned to see a little wooden doll on the ground, painted white and polished to be as good as new, and in a Gothic red dress. In its hands was a dollar bill.
Justin looked around. "Oh yeah, like I'm gonna fall for that one." He looked around. "Nate, Sarah, Cody, Mickey? This prank is totally transparent, you guys should have known better... but hey, I'll bite." He reached out and picked up the doll.
Instant the doll spoke moving her mouth open and closed, "So will I." Then the doll took a needle and stabbed him in the hand. Justin instantly threw the doll away.
"Okay! Now THAT was pretty good!" Justin admitted, looking at his hand and saw the pin prick wasn't bleeding. In fact, before his eyes, his skin became shinny smooth, and hardened. Then Justin shrank. And as he shrank, he clothes changed with him, becoming a dark purple version of the same dress Sakura wore. And the magic of the castle flooded Justin's entire being. His lost all sexual traits even as his figure became more feminine and his eyes turned to glass and his hair lengthened down his back into a black braid.
"Come Juuko, after the last present human is changed, we must be ready for the next lot." Said Sakura.
"Shall we add them to our numbers?"
"First the castle must replenish the other beasts and monsters within the castle walls, there will be plenty to chose from later."
"Yes Madam." Juuko knelt and the two cursed dolls quickly skipped back into the castle.
