Ty was feeling all giddy as he teleported into the mall and started walking around starting from the food court, which was located in the center of the vast, expansive shopping mall. Hundreds of people walked past him as he stood in line and bought a soda and a hamburger and sat down at a table with a great view looking out over the center of the food court.
Using his cool, new, self-taught mental and psychic powers, Ty was able to hear the thoughts of every person who walked within a hundred feet of where he was sitting, and a few private feelings struck a chord with him.
As he looked around, he spotted a girl sitting by herself, in the corner, talking to someone on her cell phone. She had just come from the sporting goods store where she watched her older brother buy football gear.
“Boys have all the fun. They get to play football, baseball and basketball. I just hate being a girl!” the girl, whose name was Cathy, was thinking to herself. Her brother returned with a big bag filled with football gear before he walked off again, with his little brother in tow. They were having fun getting stuff for the football team. Cathy was bored out of her mind. She wished she could play football as well.
Two tables away, another teenage girl sat all by herself. Her name was Jessica and she wanted to get into wrestling and bodybuilding but she was repeatedly told at school that those were sports for boys only and she couldn’t sign up because she was a girl. She was just being miserable because the only other choice she had was to become a cheerleader or to join the soccer team, which she hated to be a part of because she didn’t like the girls on the soccer team at all.
Finally, three tables over, Ty spotted a girl sitting at a table next to her mother. This girl was about 17 years old and she wanted to be on the gymnastics team but do the things the boys did, not the girls. She wanted to swing from the rings and do the high bar, but she couldn’t because she was a girl and she hated that. She wished she were a boy so bad. Her name was Grace and she was on the gymnastics team but she just hated the fact that she was a girl instead of a boy.
Ty picked up on all these emotions so he decided to use his powers on these teenage girls one at a time. He would make each and every one of them go to the ladies’ room, where he would transform them into young, handsome and muscular, young guys. Who would he change first?
