Today is a special day for Ashley. After years of contemplating, research, and appointments, she is finally heading down to Cybernetic Incorporated to get her livelong dream. For in this corporation is where people get turned into human androids. Many years ago, an approval was made to turn regular everyday human beings into robots, forming a human/robotics act in Washington. From there, everyone can be a cybernetic being by choice. Since then, half the human populating became one with robotics while the other half remained as humans.
Now that’s where Cybernetic Incorporated was created. In this industry, it is where the medical professionals can turn anyone into cybernetic androids anyway they want. They can either have the choice of being partial, where they replace parts of their bodies into robotic prosthetic limbs, or go full body, turning themselves into cyborgs from head to toe. There are a variety of ways in turning into androids. Whether it be transferring their brainwaves into a robotic template and then choosing what type of class they be, getting injected by nanites that would painlessly turn them into androids inside and out, or a full on evasive surgery to replace all the parts of the body with cybernetic parts. The classes then vary whether they want to be humanoid versions of themselves, different body types, military grades, or even retro styles. It’s a wide variety of choices for anyone that’s interested.
Ashley was one of those people. Ever since she was young, she always sees androids walking about. She wishes that she could be one of them, living forever with no flaws. Now after all those years, she can finally obtain that dream. Course she had to do her research, get her families permission, save up all her money from work, and setting up an appointment before she could embark on that journey. Still, it was all worth it as she walked to Cybernetic to begin her conversion into an android.
Walking down the streets, she could see the huge building with a hologram sign of a man that’s half human and half cybernetic with a sign below it that says, ‘Cybernetic Inc. Cyberforming the World One Human at a Time’. Approaching the entrance, she could see a fountain with two statues that shows a male and female android with their backs to each other, showing off how looked. It made her feel confident that she’s going to be one of them.
Upon entering the building, Ashley was amazed by how it looks on the inside. It was a large hall with columns and a hologram avatar that welcomes visitors to Cybernetic and a reception desk at the end. But the one thing that got her is that pretty much everyone in the building were cyborgs, all male and female, dueling the usual thing. It was a freshening look as there was no normal humans in the buildings. There were a few, but they were either tourists or other individuals that want to be converted metal. Taking a deep breath, she was ready to take the first step in cyber forming.
Walking down to the reception desk, she was stunned to see the receptionist is an android too. While she has a female build, her lower half was connected to the base in the middle while having multiple arms around her torso, going on all the computers and multiplexing on appointments and schedules. Approaching the receptionist, she cleared her throat and said, “Excuse me. My name is Ashley. I have an appointment for today.” The android receptionist turned to her and responded with a metallic voice, “One moment please…” She went into one of the computers and did a check on the appointment schedule. After a quick check, she found the name and said, “Ah yeah… Ashley Morgan. You are here to be converted into a cyborg. Appointment is today at ten. We’ve been expecting you, Ms. Morgan. Now you do have a choice between being partially changed or fully changed into an android. What do you wish to choose?” Ashley thought about this for a while until she came up with her answer.
