Nate Anderson and Alex Ramsey stayed at the wolf pack meeting turned orgy for a while, but it was more to hang out with their friends and fellow werewolves when those pack members weren't busy having sex themselves.
Not that Nate and Alex didn't enjoy each other's company in EVERY sense of the word, but being two of the only four gay members (the other two had already paired off and became a couple themselves before Nate met Alex while becoming a werewolf) there really wasn't all that much for them to do.
About 1 am, Nate turned to Alex and said, "Say stud. Considering we have to walk back to home turf anyway, what say we get an early start and head off now."
"Sure handsome. That way, we don't run the risk of being seen publicly in fur after dawn," agreed Alex. With that, the two gathered their travel bags full of human belongings and set out on foot towards home.
Except for a few dividing streets they had to cross, the duo stuck to the woods, holding paws and walking close to each other.
Yet it was soon apparent to Alex that something wasn't quite right. "Say Nate. Did you get some bad meat back there or something? You've been quiet for awhile now."
"Just thinking."
"The way you said that, maybe we'd better sit and talk," suggested Alex, before leading them to a nearby tree.
Sitting down and leaning against it, Alex looked closely at his lover and said, "Talk to me. Is something wrong?"
"Seeing Sally and Jess got me to thinking about us," admitted Nate.
"I see," said Alex. "If it matters, I want kids too, and when we get that far, we can either find a surrogate or adopt," he pointed out, taking Nate's paw in his own.
"I know," said Nate, leaning against him. "But I also got to thinking about my folks, yours, the Perrys, the Twists. Even factoring in a were's longevity, they've all been married for quite a while. Will we?"
"If you want," said Alex gently, while putting a furry arm around his boyfriend. "We're just starting out. The sex has been great and now we're starting to explore what lies beyond being just physically compatible. To be honest, I'm enjoying every moment with you, learning all about your likes and dislikes. Your hopes and dreams. I'm starting to sound like one of those sappy romance novels my mom used to read, but I do have very strong feelings for you Nate Anderson, although there is one thing I haven't liked."
"OH? WHAT?" a concerned Nate asked.
Alex Ramsey looked his boyfriend directly in the eye and said in a calm voice, "Sometimes, you snore."
"Is that it?" Nate said, as he started to laugh in relief. Then he put his arms around his boyfriend and said in a very sincere voice, "I love you Alex Ramsey. Even if you do occasionally tie up the bathroom too long."
"I do—" but his rebuttal was cut short as Nate kissed him.
Soon they were caught up in a tender, romantic session of mutual love.
Dawn would find the lovers asleep under that tree, arm in arm.
In time, they would both agree that the tender cuddling was one of the best parts of falling asleep and awakening together.
Alex even found himself starting to adjust to Nate's snoring too.
They were only about a mile from home now, and could easily make it cutting through the woods without violating any of Moon Lake's laws.
The Ramseys were expecting them for breakfast that morning, but the lovers had big plans for the rest of that day and the weekend, even if Nate did have to take time out to attend his parents induction into the Skulk that night.
