**I’ve been wanting to expand on this thread for a while. Earth 1 Moon Lake, where things went south after Yvette attacked. I’m in a comfortable place in the Earth 2 story, so I decided to work on this one for a bit. Will distinguish this alternate thread as (Earth-3)
The next morning everyone felt the weight of last night’s events. The Twists stayed the night, trying to console their friends. Martha did nothing but cry. Upstairs, Ben had called Alex Ramsey, and told him what happened. Alex and Nate were close, not boyfriends just yet, but Ben had a feeling they would be.
Alex comforted Nate over the phone as best he could, while Ben looked after a silent and stunned Eric. Ben wasn’t sure how the younger Anderson was responding. His tears were dried on his face, and he hadn’t said a thing since his father’s body was carried away.
“What a horrible night. I can’t imagine what they’re feeling. I mean, my parents are dead, but that was a long time ago. And I never really knew them…” Ben thought. He was sitting in Eric’s room, Eric himself on the bed.
The entire house was silent except for Martha’s soft crying. As the night wore on, each person slowly drifted into sleep. But no one slept quietly. They were wracked with nightmares, and in some cases woke up crying.
And meanwhile, in a police car headed for the hospital, Yvette was beside herself too. She’d killed the man she wanted to spend forever with. She wanted to do nothing else but kill herself. As soon as she got the chance. She wasn’t even sure where they were taking her. Yvette was so consumed with grief she couldn’t process what the officers were saying to her.
In the hospital, Samantha paced the halls. The day had gone from bad to worse. Jenny needed her transformation to be completed, but Samantha was also worried about Martha and her wife. She couldn’t leave the hospital just yet.
“How mortal we are.” she thought. A very sad reminder that though weres could heal most wounds, they were just as vulnerable as normal people. And Yvette’s actions certainly proved that tonight
