The Stovalls stood around near everyone's cars, waiting for the inevitable.
Professional therapist Frances Twist had explained everything she could to them about the situation with Eric Anderson without breaking doctor/patient confidentiality.
In turn, Martin Stovall had explained the facts about life, love, and were-mers to her, before Frances helped him talk to Nate and Martha Anderson.
"Julie truly loves Eric. We just didn't know how far down that path she's already swam. Were-mers fall faster and deeper in lover than other weres, let alone normal humans," he told them.
In the end, both accepted his explanation, but only Eric's older brother Nate seemed to genuinely accept Martin's apology on behalf of Julie and the entire Stovall family.
Grieving widow Martha Anderson was polite enough, but Martin didn't push the issue.
"Do you think it's safe to leave now?" Melissa whispered to her husband as they walked back to their car.
"Probably. I'd still like to clear the air with Austin Perry tonight, if possible. Eric too, although I doubt I get to talk to him before—"
Martin was interrupted by the sudden, loud howl of every werewolf in the area baying as one, celebrating the arrival of a new member to their pack.
"Well, it's over," he said solemnly, realizing that Eric Anderson was now a werewolf.
They were right outside their vehicle, with the back passenger door still open and their daughter laying across the seat unconscious.
"Listen, if you don't mind, can you stay here for a few minutes with Julie while I go talk to Austin?" wondered Martin.
"Sure, but try not to be too long. Okay?" asked Melissa, before kissing her husband on the cheek.
Martin nodded, then turned to walk back towards the public area of the wolf pack's gathering place.
However, he only went a few steps before Martin heard a lady scream.
This time, it wasn't his distraught daughter, but his wife!
Martin Stovall ran back to the car as fast as he could just as he heard his wife yell: "SOMEBODY CALL AN AMBULANCE! SHE'S NOT BREATHING!"
Note: Someone more qualified (experienced) than me will have to write Eric's actual transformation scene.
