The process of aligning Ashley's physical body with her new genetic template would begin with an injection of nanites into her abdomen. These microscopic machines were tasked with removing her female internal anatomy. The process by which her ovaries, womb, uterus and other female organs would be liquefied and then removed through her vagina would have to be done slowly and carefully, monitored by Dr. Erlanger through tiny cameras embedded in nanites themselves, so as to minimize internal bleeding. Ashley was receiving synthetic blood to replace any losses, and specialized nanites intervened to repair and reroute blood vessels.
When the process was near completion, the detritus that had been Ashley's reproductive organs was vacuumed out through her vagina. Then began one of the most challenging parts of the process: the elimination of the vagina itself. The vagina had to be removed and the gap closed nearly simultaneously to avoid a gaping wound. The nanites performed flawlessly, and the gap between Ashley's thighs disappeared without even a scar. Only the clitoris and outer labia, which would be used later in the process to build Ashley's male genitalia, remained.
At the same time, Ashley continued to receive male hormones, now mixed with a special anthro-bovine growth hormone. The chemical switch that stopped most people's growth after late adolescence had been switched off, and Ashley was now in the position of a human at puberty receiving a growth spurt. But her growth would follow her new genetic pattern, not her old one.
To a casual glance, the Ashley lying on the table was still the young woman who had checked in two days ago. But closer inspection would have revealed that not only was she without a vagina, but that thick, wiry black hair was starting to sprout all over her body.
Like most goat-people, Dr. Erlanger had a high sex drive (she was notorious for wearing nothing under her lab coat) but nothing turned her on more than a successful transformation, particularly one with a transgender element. The thought that the slip of a girl on the table would soon be a powerful, virile minotaur bull had her panting.
Fortunately, her boyfriend, also a goat-person, worked in the building, and was used to taking her "emergency" calls. So the doctor was being taken from behind while she was going over the blood data, and climaxed as she concluded the daily lab report. Her colleagues had learned to ignore the high-pitched bleats coming from her lab.
