Pondering the great responsibility that is suddenly before you, you smile and turn to the Genie, "I am ready for my first wish."
The Genie glares toward you with a a discernible scowl and pauses before asking, "And what is your first wish my master?"
You double check the wording in your head, "My first wish is for the greatest wisdom man has ever known, including the enhanced intelligence to comprehend and use the wisdom for good and to help the world create solutions for what is bad, incorporating the knowledge of how this wish and all other wishes I make will impact not only myself but the world in general."
The Genie nods slowly, "It is clear you do not trust me. Your wish is my command, and when you wake up tomorrow you will find you have the wisdom you seek and can make your next wish should you choose.
You feel the words of the Genie call out your secret prejudice that the Genie can be a corrupter. "Trust is earned, and with wisdom I hope to do better for my next wishes. Genie's are not fondly remembered in literature."
The Genie looks away and smiles, then looks back to you, "A bad wish is not my fault, and the art of a good wish is yours to learn my Master. I suggest you allow me to retire and let us resume our discussion tomorrow.
You shake your head, "No. You are my guest this evening. You will stay in my bed, and I will be a proper host."
The Genie looks at you with suspicion. You smile noticing that the Genie is now suspicious of your intentions. You show the Genie to your room, and motion to your unmade bed, "This is your bed for tonight. I will be on the couch."
The Genie bows to you, "I am honored, We shall talk in the morning."
You nod at the genie, "Yes we will, " you say and turn around d to sleep in the living room.
