Once the counseling was over, Tad and his mom got back in his mom's car.
"Wasn't that helpful to get some of that off your chest?," Jen Decker asked her son, who shrugged.
"I guess so," Tad said, "But honestly, I was fine in the first place."
"If you say so honey," she said, putting her key in the ignition of the car.
Jen Decker pulled out of the parking lot and drove onto the road. Tad sat in the passenger seat, gazing out the window. He didn't say anything until he noticed that his mom had just driven past their house.
"Mom," Tad asked, "We just drove past the house."
"I know honey," she said, "I'm taking you to meet your grandparents first."
After a few minutes of more driving, they pulled into the driveway of a small, two story house. An elderly woman was out in front of the house planting flowers. She stood up and turned around as Jen pulled into the driveway and got out of the car. The woman squinted and straightened her glasses before her eyes widened.
"Jennifer!," she exclaimed joyfully, "Look at you! It's so good to see you!"
Jen smiled and hugged the woman. "Hi Josephine," she said, "It's great to see you too."
Josephine Decker smiled. "So what brings you here?," she asked, "Have you and Tad got moved in yet?"
"Yes," Jen said, "And I brought Tad here to meet you and Jacob."
Tad then got out of the car, and Josephine's eyes widened once again.
"Oh my gosh," she said, walking up to Tad, "Look at you! I haven't seen you since you were a baby! You look just like your father!"
"Tad," Jen said, "This is your paternal grandmother, Josephine."
Tad smiled and hugged his grandmother. "It's nice to meet you," he said.
"No need for introductions sweetie!," she said, "Come inside!"
Josephine and Jacob's house was decorated with pictures. Some of them were of his parent's wedding. Others were of his grandparent's while they were younger. In their living room was an elderly man sitting in a recliner watching football.
"Jacob!," Josephine exclaimed, "Look who came to visit us!"
The old man turned to look at his wife, daughter-in-law, and grandson. "Is that Jennifer?," he asked, getting up and walking to them, "It's been so long since we've last seen you darling!" Jacob Decker's gaze then fell onto Tad. "
"My gosh! Is that Tad?," he asked, "Aren't you just a spitting image of your father!"
"Thank you," Tad said, smiling as he hugged the old man, "My mom has told me that so many times."
Josephine sat down on the couch and grabbed a large book off of their coffee table. "Come here honey," she said to Tad, "I want to show you some pictures of your father when he was younger."
Tad did as he was told and sat down on the couch. Josephine flipped a few pages before she pointed to a picture of a young man that looked just like him. "There he is," Josephine said, "Your father when he was your age. This picture was taken the day we moved here." She then chuckled. "You know," she continued, "When we moved here, we weren't werewolves. When we found out about the were creatures here and how one of us had to be turned into one, Jeff was the first to volunteer."
"Could you tell me about it?," Tad asked, "I've always been jealous of some of my friends for having grandparents to tell them stories about their parents when they were young."
Josephine smiled as a tear of joy came from her eye. "Of course dear," she sniffed, "I've waited for this moment my whole life!"
