"I wish that Amy was back!" The new tween chirped, his voice breaking.
The two fairies giggled, but they raised their wands in unison. There was a sudden flash and then John blinked. Someone new stood there, but it wasnt Amy, at least, not as he remembered her. The sixteen year old girl that stood opposite him in the barn was beautiful, mature and very different. She wore a simple blouse, jeans and boots and seeing him she smiled. "John, what are you doing in here, you know Mom asked me to babysit for you! You cant just run off."
"Amy?" John asked. "What happened, you're older!"
"Of course I am older silly, I'm your big sister." Amy giggled. "Now stop playing with your imaginary friends and come inside."
Before John could protest, she went out of the barn. John looked to the fairies. "HEy! What gives you were supposed to bring Amy back!"
"And we did," Amethyst said with a coy smile. "You just didnt wish for her to be your little sister."
"Thats not what I mean, you're Amy!" John insisted. "And why couldn't she see you?"
"Fairies turn invisible to people once they hit 16," Mara said. "And she's not Amy anymore now....if you will excuse us..."
"Wait," John cried. "What about me?"
The two fairies looked to one another. "We cant grant you another wish...sorry, but you still have the vials, maybe there's an answer there, come on sis!" Amethyst said, and both fluttered away.
