Kyle shifted his eyes and cleared his throat. "Rachael, I've got something to confess..."
She looked at him in confusion. Kyle had honestly been trying to help her when he used the curse on her, but now it was getting out of hand. He still wasn't willing to tell her the truth about Simon, although after a while he was starting to feel guilty about that too.
"What is it, Kyle?", she asked.
Kyle drew his breath in deep. He was about to do it and admit the truth. But he had grown so close to Rachel. He'd never had a girl interested in him before and he had never even used the curse to make himself look better. He was terrified that she might hate him for what he did. Finally, he answered.
"Rachel, I...", he hesitated. "Can we talk in private? Please?"
The last time a guy wanted alone time with her hadn't ended so well, but Rachel trusted Kyle. She agreed and left with him to outside the cafeteria. Once they were alone, Rachel was getting worried about Kyle. He seemed even more torn up than she was. "Kyle", she asked. "What's wrong?"
"Me.", he admitted. "I'm what's wrong."
"Huh?"
"Rachel, I'm so sorry. It's just... you so sad and I thought.... I thought I was helping you."
"What are you talking about?"
"It's my fault this is happening to you, Rachel.", he said sadly. "I did this too you."
"What?", she exclaimed. "How could you have done it?"
"Have you ever heard about the curse on the town?", he asked, "Transform or Dare?"
"Yeah", she answered, not realizing that he had just used the curse on her.
"Not really. I have the curse and have been using it on people for what I thought was good. Rachel, think. When did these changes really start?"
Rachel was about to argue when she realized the truth. Her transformation hadn't started until Kyle came to comfort her at the beginning of the week. "Oh my gosh...", she uttered while taking a step back. "What did you do to me?"
"I just wanted to help you feel more confidant. By having you become more beautiful over time and not stop until you had the confidence to ask a guy out. I never thought it would become like this. Rachel, I'm really, really sorry about all of this and I don't blame you if you're mad or afraid of me right now. I just—" He was interrupted when Rachel ran up and hugged him with tears in her eyes. Kyle stood there in shock while she continued to cry and hug him.
"Thank you", she cried. "You did help me get more confidant, Kyle. That was the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me." She then let go and looked at him with sparkling, pleading eyes. "But this is getting out of control. I'm getting back aches and everyone is starting to think I'm some kind of slut. You have to help me."
"I already am", said Kyle. "You're minutes up, so you get both."
"What?"
"For your dar, I dare you to say Transform or Dare to me and then dare me to finish with your transformation."
Rachel was about to ask what he was talking about when her mouth suddenly moved on it's own. "Transform or Dare?", she asked.
"Dare."
"I dare you to finish with my transformation.", she felt herself being forced to say.
"Alright", he replied. "For your transformation, the curse I placed on you will now stop and you have a choice. You can stay as amazingly beautiful as you are now, go back to a certain point in the change, or just completely revert back to your original form. Your clothes will adjust to whatever changes."
"What?", she asked in astonishment.
"Go ahead", said Kyle. "Choose. I won't make you do anything, and if you never want to see me again... I'll understand.
