Claire moved deeper into the woods. It didn't help that she was in complete darkness, outside of her flashlight and that the woods looked completely different at night than in the day. It also didn't help that she was panicked and that she saw threats all around her. Were those howls in the distance indicating more of those wolf creatures? Did she hear a growl off to her left? Were those glowing eyes in the bushes just now? Or were all of those just figments of her imagination, with fear feeding itself? The only thing that Claire knew for certain is that she had to get back to her truck and get away from this place as soon as possible.

Eric joined Ben, Francis, and Martha in the car. After Eric asked the question, Francis responded with, "It's Julie."
"What about Julie?" Eric asked with a bit of urgency in his voice.
"She tried to escape the hospital tonight. She tried looking for you."
"Again?" Eric responded. He sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Does she still think that I'm 'her Eric'? I mean, we were good friends and all, but I never thought we were a couple or anything."
After a brief pause, Eric asked, "Okay, what can I do to help?"

Claire was half running and walking, as fast as she could considering the load that she was carrying. She remembered it being a rather long hike from her truck to the campsite, but it shouldn't take this long, considering the speed she was going. It was then that she noticed the lake nearby. Her heart sank as she saw the lake and she fell to her knees.
"No....no....it can't be..." she muttered to herself in disbelief. She remembered that her truck was parked nowhere near the lake and that she was further, not closer to her truck. It was at that point her fear turned into despair.
Her despair turned back into fear when she heard rustling behind her. She gasped, and pulled her rifle up to her shoulder, aiming in the general direction of the rustling. "Who's there?" she called out, her hands shaking a bit making it hard to aim.
