As much as Jake wanted to be older, he was curious to know what it would be like to be younger again. He changed the age on the screen to 8 and the photo on the screen looked just like he did when he was in the 3rd grade. Without hesitation, Jake executed the change and immediately felt himself shrinking. Whatever traces of puberty Jake had vanished almost instantly, his member became much smaller, and he felt his room get bigger around him. Just as Jake realized that he was actually getting younger, the shrinking stopped. Jake went to the Chronic to see the results.
"What the...is that my voice!?" Jake said as he noticed that his voice was higher than usual.

"No way," he said, "If the guys at school thought I was a shrimp when I was older, how about now?" Jake was shocked to hear his much higher voice, as if it was disbelief that it was his actual voice. Looking at himself now, Jake looked like a little kid wearing his older brother's clothes with the way they fit him now.
Jake was always behind in terms of development, and now he was back at an age where most boys have roughly the season physique. Jake was going to make himself older, but he was somehow excited, as if Jake wanted to be younger again. "Maybe I should stay like this for a bit," Jake said to himself, "but I can't have mom, dad, or my brother ask me why I look like this." Jake then made no hesitation to alter reality.
In an instant, everything around Jake went fuzzy, and the bedroom that was meant for a preteen looked like something more appropriate for a younger child. Even Jake's clothes changed on him, which now fit his new body. Jake still remembers his older life, but suddenly remembered one detail that he tried so hard to forget, which was his bedwetting. Yes, Jake is a bed wetter again and he now has to remember to put on his GoodNites each night to help with that. Jake then looked at the picture he had taken with his father on the camping trip last summer. But instead of a man in his late thirties with his hand on the shoulder of a preteen, it was a man in his early thirties kneeling with his hand on the shoulder of the much younger him.
"Well, here's to third grade again." Jake said to himself before being called downstairs by his now older brother Nick (age 10).
The next day was Jake's first day back in third grade, and it was at that time that Jake decided to stay an 8 year old. He didn't have to deal with the pressures of growing up, he would fit in better with other boys, and Jake felt that Nick was a better big brother to him then Jake was to Nick when he was older. Jake was assured that his now kid friendly computer still had the Chronivac in case Jake wanted to make other changes. Jake departed for the bus to his old elementary school, about to start the first day of his new life.
