As I saw Jeff's face at the (pretty cute) girl giving us all of her attention, I could practically hear him thinking about the nastiest way he could possibly ruin the moment, like making all of us absurdly repulsive fat guys or something. And as the wheels churned in his head, I impulsively whispered "Jeff is mute".
Not even a full second after I'd said this, I saw Jeff's mouth open, his eyes still filled with rage and loathing, with a small sadistic glint too, but as he tried to ruin us in a few words, not a single sound came out of his mouth. A look of shock spread across his face, and lingered there for a moment until he realized what had just happened.
This time, he turned to face me, and I could feel the raw hate fluctuating from him, like a physical presence, so intense I felt like it'd bore right through me. Of course, he didn't just limit himself to dirty looks, and I saw his fists clench and his muscles rippling all over his body as he prepared to tear me a new one, so I once again decided to whisper a change to reality before Jeff went and destroyed me.
"Jeff will calmly sit down in his seat and will not move from there until the movie is over."
As Jeff prepared to lunge at me, his face turned towards shock, then quickly, back to frothing rage, as his body first refused to move, the sat down calmly into his seat and stayed there.
With sweat beading my forehead, I looked at my two friends. They were still talking with the girl, who was clearly enjoying this at least as much as they were. None of them had noticed what had happened seconds earlier.
I let out a sigh of relief, and as my adrenaline came down, I realized that perhaps Jeff needed to be taught a lesson. And what better way to teach it to him than to give him what he was about to give us?
"I have a piece of paper with written on it what Jeff was about to say before he became mute".
