"Sir, you should take the Speedo too to verify it's one of the ones I got for the Swim Team at wholesale," Rick says with a sly smile.
"Yes, ahem," Wassermann says grabbing the blue fabric. He looked odd for a moment, like he was thinking about putting it on right there in the hallway. He shoved the suit into his pocket, and headed back to his office.
"Sorry, Bruno, I'll make sure he gives you your money," Bruno said sheepishly,
"Oh, he will, or else Chad's going to change back into a guy," Rick said sharply.
Then he disappeared.
Bruno suddenly had a horrible thought, which was instantly shared with Chad and all the members of the swim team. If Chad changed back now when he was in pieces, he might be a bloody mess, but worse the team would lose the special bond that they formed with Chad and each other. They had to make sure Chad stayed a Speedo and that Wassermann gave Rick the money. One of the players added a thought in the communal mind. Bruno didn't think it was his own thought, but it might have been. Maybe we should get rid of Rick, then he can never change our suits.
As Rick rounded the corner, he saw Mr. Wassermann with his hand in his pocket undoubtedly fondling the Speedo, and down the other hallway, he saw the girls passing blue bits of fabric to each other next to a trash can.
"Now the fun really begins," Rick said with a chuckle. If anyone had been looking at him at that moment, they would have seen his eyes glow preternaturally red.
