The morning of Jane's day to revert, she overslept. The worker came early to the pen, and saw her asleep. Remembering her earlier tirade after finding out that she was in heat, the worker decided to let her just sleep in and transform on her own time. He propped open the gate in the stall that lead to the pen with a rock, leaving the gate on the other side that led to the rest of the farm closed. The double doors were just a precaution. Only a human could open either of the doors. If one of them was closed, no horse could get in or out. Inside the stall, he carefully placed Jane's clean clothes on the floor. Then he filled the small trough with her reversion serum. All she had to do was drink it, and she would return to normal. She had read the manual, or she was supposed to, anyway. It was all spelled out there in black and white for anyone to see. Satisfied that he had done his duty, he left the stall and headed to his next job. The uppity guest could find her own way to the main compound after she transformed. Jane was no longer his problem.

Jenny woke up extra early, just like she had planned. She watched the worker set up Jane's reversion serum and then leave. The fool! Everything was going according to plan. She had worked Jane extra hard last night, so she would be exhausted and sleep in. It was early in the morning, and the other mares were all asleep. The formula was now unguarded and hers for the taking.
She quietly crept forward and made her way into the stall. She bent forwards and began to lap up the formula. It tasted strange to Jenny, a little sweet with a bitter aftertaste. But it was medicine after all. What did she expect it to taste like? The reversion formula was only supposed to work on humans. At least that was what she was told. But it was probably a lie, just like all the other lies the staff told her to keep her a happy prisoner. Her body began to slowly tingle. Encouraged, she began to drink more of the solution, drinking in as much as she could, as quickly as she could.
