Origin of the potions

added by Unnamed 7 years ago A TG O

On the way to the hospital, Lucie explained how her search for a way of changing gender to the numerous tomes of a diary from a young werecat who, FLEEING her family, ended in Moon Lake around the time of its founding.

“She fled her family because of a very disturbing tradition in it, which involved the two potions.”

“First, let me speak of the potions themselves. In the diary, its noted as ‘reinforcing the transmittable side of the curse’, and would suffice in itself to change most normals MEN into perfectly healthy werecat WOMEN.”

“Why did you drink the yellow one, then?” Interrupted Tabitha.

“As I said, it worked on MOST normals men, but not all. The yellow potion was noted as ‘rendering the definition of one's physical self more malleable’, and was created to guaranty the successful transformation ANY male. Yes, even they already were a were-creature before,” said Lucie, before adding “But don't worry, the diary said that the potions themselves take two days at most to stop having any effects. And before you ask: NO, it DOESN'T mean I'm going to change back.”

This time, it was Dr. Twist who asked, shocked “Are you saying whoever wrote this diary used to be MALE, and her own family forcefully changed her into a werecat WOMAN?!”

“As they did for any member of said family, be it by birth or by marriage. But that's not all…”

“WHAT?” Simultaneously asked the Twist spouses, wondering what other atrocity they were about to learn.

“I won't take the risk to verify, but apparently all of the former men in her family needed to drink the red potion to change someone into a werecat. Without the potion, they could mate with normals without changing them. In fact, the diary's author claim her only son was born a normal as well.”

That last bit about Lucie being hypothetically unable to transmit the were-virus had greatly disturbed everyone, causing the end of their travel to the hospital to be rather silent.

In fact Frances, Samantha and Tabby were so lost in their respective minds, they almost didn't hear when a doctor came back with Lucie's results. She seemed to have turned in a healthy werecat, but the doctor still wanted to keep her under watch for the night, given the circumstances.

While the doctor was occupied with Tabby & co., Lucie's eyes changed to solid blue.

Her new vision was unrelated to her precedent one. This time, she was herself, trying to survive the mother of all cramps, courtesy of her first periods. And if that wasn't enough, a paparazzi had forced his way to her bathroom, taking pictures of the painful moment, and she probably wouldn't be able to resist the urge to kill the intruder for much longer.

Thankfully, this time she hadn't moved during her vision, preventing the nearby nurse from being hurt.

Note:
Since it was stated how having breast smaller than what is usually the minimum was stated at possibly problematic, I wanted to find something explaining how it could be not, but without forcefully imposing said explanation as the real one.
And about that new vision, keep in mind that she always see the worst outcome possible, regardless of how improbable it is. (Maybe THAT is the true reason why most cultures claim black cats bring bad luck!)

To S1:
Noted. If I could edit my previous text to reflect this change, I would. But since I can, I suppose readers just have to accept this retcon.
