As Jennifer looked for the look for her book report (that she'd charmed some nerd into doing for her anyway), there was a flash of light, the ticking of clock, and out popped an odd anime+manega magazine. Jennifer frowned. What was this? She wasn't into this garbage. She wasn't some buck toothed geek who needed to hide from the real world.
Instead of leaving the magazine alone, or thinking this might have something to do with Kyle's superstitious nonsense garbage, she dully picked up the magazine, flipping through it out of a mild curiosity instead of running away screaming or throwing the magazine out the window with gloves and a hockey stick as you'd think most people would do if a magazine popped into existence before them. But none claimed Jennifer was very bright outside of social circles, or very worldly.
The first picture inside wasn't even of an magical girl from any actual anime or japanese comic. It was a drawing and inking by some artist whose name she couldn't pronounce, done as an example, and a list of the stereotypical traits that made up a magical girl. A mascot. Monsters to fight. Colorful clothes. Love and justice. Magic powers. Girl empowerment. Believing in yourself. And a friendship spiel that made Jennifer want to puke.
Then the curse took hold...
Jennifer's nose became ski-slope shape like an anime character, her eyes increased in size and OF COURSE turned PURPLE, while her hair turned the same color purple, and her clothes changed into a japanese school uniform... and Jennifer's age fell to below the teen category. Her hair become wild with a pair of pigtails going down her back. Her skin became flawless. The uniform gained a gold star in the center, as a gold staff with a ruby head appeared in one hand. Gold and ruby jewelry formed around her neck and wrists as her finger nails changed to that same purple color. The uniform was white with purple accents and gold trim. A very short red cape formed around her neck.
Jennifer... Jennifer Smith... Jennifer... Jennifer.... Jenni... Jenn... Je... Jeshi... She was Jeshi... Magical Girl. The first of the world.
She smiled.
The first thing did Jeshi was use her magic, and sent the magazine back in time a few minutes ago to be read by Jennifer so she'd become Jeshi and send the magazine back in time. With that little mystery settled, it was time to deal with bigger problems...
There was so much injustice, cruelty, and curses in the world... not enough for one magical girl to handle... she was going to need a LOT of help... First thing she did was add a tiny clause to the Transform or Dare she carried so that anyone transformed would retroactively always have been so. This would keep things from getting awkward and uncomfortable.
Now... who first to add to the army of magical girls? Kyle for setting everything in motion? Or maybe the maid? Or maybe Jennifer's parents? Or Kyle's parents. Or she could just go to school and convert it into a school for magical girls... Well, she intended to do that last one no matter what, but some help woldn't hurt.
