The St. Patrick’s Day party was in full swing and Sean was having a blast. His mop of brown hair spilled out from beneath an enormous sparkly green top hat, his green eyes twinkled in the light of the disco ball he had set up in his foyer, and his thin body swayed to the music, enveloped in an emerald drainpipe suit. St. Patrick’s Day was his favorite holiday, and he didn’t care who knew it.
Something glinted from behind the spiked punch bowl and caught his eye. He stooped over to investigate and saw a chocolate coin wrapped in gold. One of his neighbors must have dropped it off and it got lost in the shuffle of setting up. Cheerily he ripped off the wrapper and chomped down every last morsel of chocolate. The sugar must have kicked in immediately, because he felt his hands tingling a little bit.
“Whoa, time to slow down, buddy boy,” he said, turning to see who he could find in the crowd.
