Kevin woke up.
It was a beautiful day outside, the sum gleamed through his window as he pulled the curtains apart. Yawning he went downstairs to get his breakfast before going to school for the day.
Kevin lived in a family of three children - with him being the oldest, his sister (Kara) being 15 and his little brother (Charlie) being 7. His parents were about 40, they were getting old but could still do the stuff they loved to do with their children. His father loved going biking with him on the weekends, and his mother loved to go on her monthly shopping trip with Kara. His little brother was a mix, he kind of enjoyed biking but couldn't go usually as Kevin and his Father as they sometimes went on difficult courses, and enjoyed shopping with Kara and his mum but really was only there for the toys.
The family had a pretty average life, they didn't have too many luxuries but they weren't poor either. Although his parents were secretly saving money to buy him a car when he evetually got his license.
Breakfast was pretty quiet, when he got downstairs he had greeted his mother and simply got his cereal, sat down next to his sister whom was eating some kind of healthy seed mix and started consuming his meal. Though he was kind of going off the cereal brand recently, it was starting to taste weird recently - he presumed that they had changed the recipe so he was probably going to change breakfasts soon.
As he was going to get dressed for school (it was Friday) his mother asked him to pick up his washing from the laundry, which he quickly went to complete the task.
Upstairs Kevin began to unpack his laundry - picking out his school uniform. He put on his white shirt, black pants, black socks and shoes before noticing that the shirt he was wearing was actually the female uniform's blouse. The white shirt and white blouse were barely distinguishable though so he just left it, shrugging it off saying that it was Friday and it would be all over soon. He then rushed off to the bus stop quickly to meet up with his friends.
"Hey!" Kevin said, puffing and panting as he ran toward the bus stop, strangely he was usually fit enough to run to the bus stop, maybe it was because he hadn't been biking all week.
"Hi Kevin!" Lily (His friend) said as he arrived, Lily came from a pretty rich family and was taught to be as feminine as possible, though she didn't resent the idea of being female (she was quite feminine) she didn't like being forced into the role, she usually wore skirts or dresses with feminine style shoes and was usually called a 'Stereotype of a Girly Girl'. "How's it going mate!" his other friend (Gary) said, Gary came from a average family like Kevin and although he was left with only his mother (his father died a few months ago) he was still trucking along with his intense sporting activies, job and study. He was quite weird, being half nerd and half jock he didn't really fit in to a lot of groups, but Kevin thought he was pretty cool.
"Great, thanks!" Kevin replied, noticing a black hairclip amongst Gary's brown hair.
"What's that?" He asked, pointing toward the clip.
Gary pulled his hand up to his hair, feeling around as he pulled the clip out.
"Uugh, sorry, my little sisters were playing with my hair yesterday and I must've missed something" he said, rubbing his hand through his bushy hair.
"Is that a blouse you are wearing Kevin?" Lily said, tugging on the fabric of Kevin's shirt, Kevin blushed. Only Lily would've known this, her expertise in ettiquite and fabrics was extreme, and Kevin predicted that she would become some kind of designer later in life, but she doubted it. He loved that about her.
"Y-yeah, well... Funny story, I just found it in my washing and... I didn't notice that it was a blouse! It felt pretty normal eh!" Kevin lied.
'Why am I lying!' Kevin thought, worrying to himself.
Just as Lily was about to speak the bus arrived at school and the students got on. Kevin and Gary sat at the front, but Lily surprisngly sat right at the back, usually she would sit at the front so that she could get to class quicker but Kevin guessed today she probably had everything sorted and nothing to do.
The bus ride was pretty uneventful, apart from noticing that Gary was rather nice today (usually he would manspead Kevin to the side of the chair) but apart from that everything was usual.
