Tad laughed at his mom's reaction to his grandmother's comment.
"It's fine mom, honestly," he said, turning to Vivian, "I'm sure Amy would love to meet you two and my dad's parents."
"You mean Jacob and Josephine?," Karen asked, "We haven't seen those two since you were first born!"
A confused look appeared on Tad's face. "They live in Moon Lake," he said, "Why haven't you visited them before?"
"We just haven't had the time sweetie," Karen responded, "Maybe in a few days, we'll pay them a visit and comfort them on the loss of their son. It's been just as hard for us as it has for you."
"After all, he was our son-in-law," Vivian said, interjecting, "He was a really nice man. I remember the day your mom first brought him home so we could meet him."
Tad noticed his mom blushing, and instantly knew that this was going to be a good story.
"She had come to visit unexpectedly on night with a young man holding her hand," Karen started, "Both Vivian and I were surprised to see our little girl, but even more surprised to see that she had gotten a boyfriend and hadn't told us."
"It was going to be a surprise!," Jen interjected, but Karen and Vivian didn't listen.
"He was so nice and charming," Vivian said, "We were so happy to see that our baby had found her prince charming!"
"Mom! Shut up!," Jen exclaimed, blushing furiously, causing everyone to laugh.
"We really liked him," Karen said, "And we were thrilled to see him propose at the graduation party we held for the both of them. Before we knew it, nine months later, we got a call from Jeff saying that Jen was giving birth. We bought plane tickets to Quantico, and we just so happened to be on the same flight as Jacob and Josephine, so we got to talk to the two of them."
"You were the cutest baby," Vivian said, "We knew that the two of you were going to be taken good care of with Jeff in the same house as you. But enough of all that! We're glad you two are here!"
