I quickly decided that if I couldn't control her body, maybe I could control her mind. I wished that when I said 'Chloe, calm down' she would slowly lose her feelings of anger and excitement and return to a normal calm state.
I walked over to Chloe and silently prayed that this would work. She was over 10 feet tall now. She had finished with the poor boy, now a bloody pulp, and was beginning to tear apart the neighborhood, ripping up decorations and smashing cars. Someone must have called the police by now, and I was sure they would be here soon.
As loudly as possible, I said "Chloe, calm down."
She turned and looked at me with rage. "NO! Everyone is always trying to tell me what to do, treating me like a child, just because I am small. But I am not small anymore! You can't stop me! No one can stop me! They will all pay!" she grunted, almost like an animal. But I could tell it was working. She was beginning to shrink.
"Chloe, listen. I am you friend. You need to calm down. No one will hurt you. Chloe, calm down, " I said.
Chloe put her hands on her head, shaking it. She was now just six feet tall, with the physique of a body builder." What happened to me? Did I do that?"
"Don't look, " I said, directing her away form the remains of the boy. I didn't need her getting worked up again. I used my jacket to cover her nude body. "C'mon we have to get out of here."
We quietly walked away, trying not to draw attention to ourselves. I wasn't as worried now. I doubted the police would suspect the 4'10" nude girl walking with me could cause such damage and destruction. More likely they would just think she was another victim.
"Really, what happened to me? How did I do that?" asked Chloe.
"I don't know," I lied. "But I think we need to get you into some anger management classes."
