While I was in class at 8AM in the morning, Penny was walking around the main lawn in front of the large dorm when she spotted Hong Choi, one of the new guys in the dorm.
Hong was a total jock. His parents were Chinese so he was rather short and lean. But he had just started lifting weights in the gym and he loved hanging out with other jocks. His major was journalism and he specialized in writing articles for the sports section, so he was required to attend all the sporting events on campus. He always wore sweats when it was cold, or a tank top with shorts when it was warm. He wasn’t very tall, since he was only 5-foot-4 inches tall, but he loved being with guys who were big and buff and he wanted nothing more than to see skinny guys lift weights in the gym and become big and buff.
“Hey, Hong!” Penny said to the Chinese guy. “You’re into muscles and stuff, right?” she said to him, as he was heading to the campus journalism office.
“Yeah! I’m writing an article about the wrestling team. Then I gotta cover the weightlifting team and the men’s basketball team this afternoon!” Hong responded.
“You can help out Adam, one of our residents! He’s trying to get in shape! Here, this is his necklace!” she said, as she handed him the necklace.
Hong took the necklace and placed it carefully around his neck.
“So, does Adam need a trainer or a spotter or something?” Hong asked her.
“Oh, all you need to do is wear this necklace around your neck and think about Adam having bigger muscles!” Penny said. “You know who Adam is, right?”
“Adam Quinn? Oh yeah! He’s in our dorm! I know who he is! He’s that tall, skinny guy!”
“Well, you can grow his muscles… Just by thinking…” Penny said, before she turned around and walked off.
Hong just shrugged as he continued to wander to the Journalism Department so he could prepare for the assignment at the gym where the wrestling matches were going to take place before the bodybuilding competition and the basketball match. He was going to be busy!
