"And now to reward you for freeing me," Patience said with a smile. "But first..." Gesturing and saying words Beth didn't understand, Patience's body began to change until her appearance was the same as Beth.
"You... you look like me!" Beth stammering in surprise. "I don't understand."
"I know this isn't fair, but I need to be you," Patience said. "Which means you need to be something else."
Suddenly Beth felt an awful but familiar feeling as everything around her started to grow huge again. She tried to scream, but it only came out as a loud croak. The shock and horror of what had happened hit her all at once. She was trapped as a frog again! Patience reached down, picked up Beth and without a word threw her into the middle of the pond. By the time Beth was able to reorient herself and swim back to land, the evil princess was gone from sight.

Leaving the real Beth behind to a miserable life as a frog, Patience walked down the road toward home, her body now an exact copy of the boyish seventeen year old. And even though this body was short and plain, with a flat chest and scrawny legs, it was still better than spending eons as a frog. The spell that let Patience copy Beth's form also let her copy basic knowledge, so Patience knew where her home was. While she had no intentions of living the rest of her life as Beth, she needed time to make plans and adjust to a world far different from her own.
