Jack Ashford had heard most of the conversation between Kenya/Kendra and whoever this "Nate" was, but didn't know what to do.
He had genuine feelings for the werepanthress, as evident by proposing to her, but she had yet to actually say yes, and he knew better than to push the issue.
Instead, he curled up on the couch next to Kenya without physically touching her, and waited for the lady to speak, which would probably be sometime after she finished crying.
Nate leaned against the side of his now ex-girlfriend's house and cried until he ran out of tears. The werewolf within him felt like releasing a mournful wail, but knew that might get in him trouble for violating daytime were policies.
Instead, with no plan or destination, Nate just got into his car and drove off.
As much as she loved being furry, Spencer Lawson had to stay in her were form for almost a week while her injuries at the hands of ex-jerk Jeremy Bower Junior healed. "There's still a couple of minor micro fractures, but they were barely noticeable in the last x-ray," she told Eric Anderson, as they started walking. "As long as I don't do any heavy lifting or rapidly transform in either direction, I'll be totally fine in another day or two."
"That's great honey," replied Eric, holding her hand as they walked. There was no destination. Spencer just didn't want to be cooped up indoors anymore. "I hate to mention this, but school resumes tomorrow, so if you need any help with your homework..."
"With the Thanksgiving holiday, technically I only missed Monday and Tuesday, but I would definitely love the company..." said Spencer, smiling at him. "Mister Anderson, what do you keep staring at?" she asked him.
"This," he replied, reaching out to touch the pink toy ring on the enlarged chain around his girlfriend's neck.
"Oh. I thought you might be staring at my bosom," said Spencer, a bit disappointed.
"That too," Eric said, before kissing her.
Soon their wanderings took them to the local diner, where the young couple decided to have lunch.
But as they sat in a booth looking over menus, neither noticed Sean Walker coming out of the restroom after finishing his meal, but he noticed them.
It's Lawson's kid! he realized, trying to get out of the diner without being spotted, And she looks like she doesn't have a mark on her. Miraculous, considering how I last saw her. Something freaky is definitely going down in Moon Lake, and I'm gonna get to the bottom of it!
