Claire was humming happily as she was cooking over a pot of beef stew. She wasn't sure why she was so happy, but she was. She sniffed the air above the pot and said, "It's almost ready." She continued to stir the pot a bit more when she heard a knock on the door. "Come on in," she called out, thinking it was Ryan.
Ryan walked into the apartment and sniffed the air. He could smell the spices and the beef cooking, and his mouth started to water. "What smells so good?"
Claire smiled as she replied, "That would be the beef stew that I'm making for dinner." Claire peeked out of the kitchen to see Ryan standing there in the living room. She could see him dressed in a pair of jeans and a blue button shirt. 'Wow,' she thought to herself. 'He looks so handsome...' She could feel her face flush red and she quickly turned her attention to the food cooking on the stove. Claire asked Ryan, "Could you please set the table? The food's almost done."
Ryan walked into the kitchen and watched Claire cooking over the stove. The smell of the food was even greater, and Ryan's stomach gave a low growl. Claire and Ryan looked at each other and laughed. "Guess I'm a bit hungrier than I thought," Ryan said with his trademark smirk. She smiled as she turned towards the stove. Before going to get the dishes, he took a few moments to admire's Claire's figure. She was thin, to be sure, and wasn't as big as Barbara, but she had definitely the feminine figure that attracted Ryan. He grabbed a couple of bowls and spoons, and put them on the table, along with a couple of sodas from the fridge.
Claire took a taste of the stew and then declared, "It's ready." She took the pot off of the stove and moved it to the table. After filling both of the bowls, she said, "Enjoy." The two sat at the table and they started to eat the stew.
"Wow," Ryan said after he ate a spoonful. He could taste the spices, the celery, and the potatoes in addition to the beef. "This is so good. You really are a good cook."
"Thank you," Claire responded with a smile. "It's a family recipe. Normally, we use either rabbit or deer, but beef works just as well." The two continued to eat the stew as they talked about the rest of their day.
"So, I'm just a little curious. Why a big cat?" Ryan asked.
"Well, it's just that I'm a bit curious myself. I've seen plenty wolves, but I haven't seen much of anything else. A mink and a tiger, but that's about it. I want to see more than what's in that guidebook. I think it's a bit out of date."
"Huh, well, okay. I can understand that curiosity myself. I think we can arrange something if you like." Ryan paused as he thought for a while. "So, I noticed you and Barbara are getting close to each other."
"Yeah, she's so nice, and we have so much in common. We both love photography, and enjoy the outdoors." Claire omitted the other similarities concerning a certain wolfman. "And when I looked at her as a werewolf, her body was simply amazing," Ryan smirked as he remembered walking in on the two. "Oh, and we're going to go up to the college tomorrow morning. She's going to give a tour."
"Thinking of transferring up here?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah, especially after meeting so many nice people here. They're so nice." Ryan smiled as he heard Claire say this. "I'm not sure, but I think I may want to stay here, even if it's only for a few more years."
It wasn't long before the two finished their food, and Ryan asked, "So, could you show me this guidebook they gave you? I want to see just how out of date it is."
Claire smiled and said, "Sure!" The two moved to the couch and pulled out the guidebook. The guidebook was on Ryan's lap, and it wasn't long before Ryan's arm was around Claire, and Claire was snuggling up against Ryan. The two, though, didn't notice this, and they read and laughed at the old pictures. They got to the pages on werewolves. Claire laughed and said, "Werewolves don't look that scary. In fact, they need to look more handsome." She looked up at Ryan with a bit of a smile on her face.
"Yeah, well, and the werewolves don't look anything as beautiful like that either."
Claire continued to look at Ryan and asked, "Do you think I'd make for a beautiful werewolf?"
Ryan looked down at Claire and replied, "Yes, I do." The eyes of the two met, and they couldn't stop looking at each other. Claire's face was red and hot, and so was Ryan's as well. As they their eyes kept looking each other, their lips kept getting closer and closer to each other.
