Lying in bed and recovering from having her skull cut open Julie tried to simply rest but she was restless. She had effectively been bed-ridden for days now and it was starting to really get to her; however, she didn't want the nurses and doctors to end up sedating her again so she dealt with it the best she could. As she finally began to drift off sleep again, she found herself standing a long open beach.
Looking around, she saw two boys. As she approached them, they turned around to face her. One was Eric and the other was Arthur. They both looked at her with a curious look, each casting odd shadows on the ground. Arthur was casting the shadow of a weremer and Eric the shadow of a werewolf. Julie stood there, blinking for a long moment, trying to make sense out of what she was seeing.
"Confusin' ya already?"
Julie looked around again and coming out of the waves she saw - herself? It was. Herself in her weremer form. "Wh..? What's going on here?"
The were-Julie shakes her head, "I thought you were the bright one. The clever student." She smirked and moved over to the two boys, "But the truth is you never did know what you wanted. You never listened to me, not truly. And now here you stand, your mushed up brain trying to sense out of what it knows and me? I suppose I'm just a passing figment of your imagination."
Julie took a step forward toward the three, "Hey, I've had a pretty bad week! I almost died, so excuse me if I'm not exactly understanding why I'm stan-" She rubbed her head slowly as she stopped, "I'm dreaming. This is just a nightmare."
The were-Julie tilts her head, "Is it? Maybe you're heart is just trying to tell you something. You spent all your time out there bustling around, making these high-handed plans and OBSESSIONS and not only did it nearly destroy you, but it cost you a boyfriend. And your self-deluding little mind doesn't want to remember that. But your heart doesn't forget, Julie. It never forgets that you betrayed it."
Julie growls, "ME? Eric betrayed ME! He ended up that ... that ... " She looked toward the Eric Anderson standing there. Eric sighs and shakes his head, turning away, "I cared for you Julie. A lot. You know I did. You just couldn't accept it. You were blinded not by love but by obsession with a future you built without even caring what I wanted. That's not True Love. True Love Accepts...But you couldn't." The dream Eric slowly collapses into smoke as Arthur says, "But he's gone now. I'm here now. Will you destroy us? Will you forget?" Arthur reached out to caress Julie's cheek softly as tears started to run down her face, "N..no.. I don't... I don't know..."
The were-Julie looks back at the ocean, "You're a smart girl, Julie. It's going to hurt but we can face this. Remember what Mom said that time we asked her? 'Love is as deep as the deepest ocean but can be as fragile as a sliver of glass. But True Love lasts forever.'...Well there is something else that breaks true love, Julie... we found that out. Selfishness and obession. I don't want...to hurt you again. Please...Don't repeat that mistake again."

Julie woke up gasping in bed, tears in her eyes and shuddering from the emotions washing through her. She panted softly, gingerly touching her head where it was bandaged before slowly letting her hand fall to her side. 'What was that dream about?' She could only remember bits and pieces but it seemed so important. She knew Arthur was in it, and this Eric person the doctor had asked her about, and little bits and pieces of the last week were starting to return, all jumbled together. Her healing brain starting to rebuild some of those neural pathways that had been damaged in her episode. Eventually, the strain of it all exhausted her and she faded off into a genuine rest.
