You hear a sudden loud knock and jump. The flashlight flies out of your hand, hits the sink counter, and clatters to the floor.
"Hurry up in there!" your sister shouts. "We don't have all day!"
"Geezus," you mumble before calling out. "Just a minute! I'm almost done!" You glance down at the flashlight and see that it's on. Panicking, you grab the light and turn it off. You start to think about what could've changed, but then realize that you wouldn't know if anything had. Before your sister can bang on the door again, you quickly pocket the light and head into your room.
Closing the door behind you, you check the settings on the light. It was on a bright blue. Phew! You hadn't turned into a girl. Then you see that it was also set to "sp". You frown. "Sexual preference" setting on a high blue. You glance up at one of the posters of a male bodybuilder on your wall. You've known you were gay for a while, just never having the courage to really come out despite your transgender father downstairs. Your girlfriend was just a cover, right?
You shake your head. "Maybe it just made me more attracted to me", you think. "I mean I'm just getting a boner from looking at that poster. Being gay just feels so right."
You hear the front door slam followed by several loud voices. Your older brother and his friends are home. You smile, thinking of the opportunities set before you with this flashlight. You made your sister manlier, her boyfriend girlier, your dad now a transgender woman, and you mom almost a sickeningly romantic bisexual woman. What to do now?
