You start to get the feeling that you're not as alone here as you thought. You cautiously survey the surrounding area, but see no sign of anyone. You close you eyes and listen carefully, but hear only the falling water and the breeze rustling the trees. You can smell the forest and the water, but no people or animals. Yet you can't shake the feeling. Then out of the corner of your eye you seen the faintest shift of a shadow behind the waterfall. Is someone back there? Have you been observed this entire time?
Only one way to find out. You face the waterfall and call out "I know you're in there. You might as well come out."
After a moment on silence a female voice responds. "If I show myself do you promise to do me no harm?"
This seems like an odd request to you. "As you can see, I'm in the middle of the water and unarmed so it would be difficult for me to do you any harm even if I wanted to. And I don't. I just want to know who's been watching me."
"Humans are not always kind to strangers, or strange creatures."
What an odd comment again. Strange creatures? Now you're really wondering who - or what - is behind the waterfall.
"I walked here from the cabin where I'm staying. I'm out enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather. And a swim in this nice pond."
Maybe she is bashful because you're naked?
"Okay. Here I come..." says the voice.
And from behind the waterfall...
