The train pulled into the station, and stopped. It was empty. They were still there, but they couldn't leave the train. They were ghosts or shadows or something, but they were bound to the train. They remembered their former lives, they didn't understand. The train sat at the platform with its doors closed. But no one exited. The policeman on the platform thought it was odd that no one exited the train, and the train just stood there empty. A couple of people pounded on the train shouting to let them in, and that they wanted to go home. He walked up to the engineer's cabin, and was surprised to see it was as empty as the train cars. The engineer opened the doors of the train. The stragglers climbed aboard. The policeman radioed for help. The train doors closed, and the ghost train lurched forward.
