As Raul lay on the bench, the vial he'd grabbed lay beside him. Raul was lost to the world, having troubled dreams after the horrible experiences he'd gone though. Eventually he woke up from them and sat up, staring down at himself. He'd wanted to believe everything that happened was just another nightmare, but the reality that he was a grown man with no home hit him hard. He couldn't live like this, and couldnt go back. Much as he might want to be a grown up, he didnt want to lose all his childhood.
"Maybe foster care would be better for me, that way Mom cant find me and then I can find someone better to have a home in now." He looked down to the vial. It had made him younger, he only hoped it could continue to do so. Closing his eyes he drank the whole bottle down. Before he began to transform, Raul found a nearby police car, then hiding in the bushes, he waited to change. It didnt take long before his muscles started to diminish his body became more lanky and small. While he was in the middle of the transformation, he stumbled out still changing in front of the two astonished policemen.
"Please, you have to help me, My Mom went crazy!" he shouted.
The two cops just watched, grim face as the man became a boy. When he was back to normal, they pulled a blanket around the kid and gently coaxed and talked to him. Taking the vial as evidence....they radioed back to headquarters.
A few months later, Raul stood in the warm light of the sun on a beach. The trial against his Mom had gone swiftly, and thanks to fingerprints and data mining, information was found on the cause of his transformations. A suit had followed and from the winnings, Raul was now a multi millionaire at the tender age of ten. His mom had been sent to prison, obviously, and young Raul was made a ward of the state and placed into foster care. Because of his situation though, he couldnt be put right into the system though, so Raul was in a sort of limbo state where he was cared for but he had enough money where he didn't have to worry for the rest of his life.
What had started as a traumatic experience turned out for the best for him. As Raul lay on the beach, he smiled to himself. He was going to use his money to invest in the strange liquids to make something more, something better, safer and legal. He was going to make sure no one would go through what he did again.
