I see a waterbug. It's floating on top of the surface and sliding near the lilypad. I focus on it and instinctively want to shoot my tongue and catch it.
The water bug is still there. Not moving, just not caring. If it will not be me, it will be a fish or another frog.
So I prepare myself and open my mouth, ready to catch it...I was quite hungry for a while. I flicker my tongue but instead of catching the waterbug it touches something sticky and pink...like my own tongue.
It's another's toad tongue. I cannot see it but as my tongue retreats I see the tongue going back, behind some tall grass. Full of curiosity I jump on water and swim a little only to see the point of a rock above the surface, and on top a slimy, slender frog whose tongue had to be gigantic.
"Hello!" it croaks when it sees me.
Is he really talking to me? Once again I cannot say if he's a former human or a normal frog. However I swim towards it.
