Not trusting the strange color of the wine, you set it down and drink the water instead. Arianna drinks all of hers and licks her lips. "Boy, was that good!" she announces to no one in particular. You look up at her over your water glass and notice something odd: her brown eyes are starting to look a little green. Shaking your head, you pick up the menu and continue to look at it.
Ten minutes later. Mandy comes back. She looks at Arianna and smiles. "What would you like, Miss?" she says. You look over at Arianna, puzzled. Her hair seems to have turned jet black. And does her arms and chest seem a little hairy? You shake your head again. "Goat. Extremely rare, if you please." Arianna says quickly. Mandy writes this down and turns to you, smiling. She sees your not-drunk wine glass and frowns. "And for YOU?" she says, her voice carrying a twinge of condescending in it. "Uhhh...I'll just have a salad." You say, pushing the menu towards her. She snatches it from your hand and scurries off to the kitchen.
You eye Arianna again. Her eyes are completely green now, and her pupils are looking a little long. She seems to have risen in her seat. The hair you saw earlier has grown thicker and spread down her arms and down through the head hole in her shirt. You pretend to drop your fork under the table and bend under to pick it up. You see she has kicked off her shoes. She only has three toes (they're covered in glossy black hair) and they're shrunk considerably to resemble paws. Her ankles have lengthened and hiked up, and her thighs are bulging in her jeans, looking like very muscular... hind legs. Suddenly, it dawns on you.
You pull yourself up, sweating. Your eyes dart around the room, looking at the other people. The young couple look very fat, having turned pink. Their noses and mouths have pushed out into pig snouts, and their arms are shortening and their hands are shriveling and become hard. In fact, their moans sound more like pig squeals now. The older couple's ears have moved to the top of the heads and became furry. Their clothes are looking tight on them, and you can see their legs have lengthened and misshapen to resemble the hindquarters of wolves. The college student by the kitchen's face has pushed out considerable, green scales growing on his it. His eyes are reptilian, and you can see the green scales sweeping down his body as a thick lizard tail rips out of his pants with a loud tearing sound.
You look quickly back at Arianna. Her nose has turned jet black and triangular. Her face has pushed out and covered with glossy black fur. Whiskers have grown out of her cheeks. You stifle a scream and push back in shock just as Mandy comes back with the entrées.
She dumps the raw goat meat on the table in front of Arianna and she bends her head down and devours it hungrily with her new fangs, getting meat juice everywhere. She heaves her huge black paws that used to be her hands on the table and eats faster. Her spine lengthens and a long black tail snakes it's way out of her pants, which, along with her shirt, rips under her rapidly expanding form. As she finishes her meal, the rest of her fur covers her in an instant and her ears become triangular and move to the top of her head. She leaps onto the table and licks you slowly with her long tongue. Her tail swishes behind her as she looks at you with her cat eyes, no human in them at all. The massive panther that used to be Arianna leaps off of the table and weaves around Mandy's legs like a cat.
Across the room, The young couple fall to the floor and turn into pigs. The wolf couple completes too and rips their dinner to shreds. The college student has turned into a komodo dragon and is licking up a huge plate full of ants from the floor.
You get up out of your chair and look at Mandy in shock. "Well, since you've seen all that, I guess you must be transformed too." She snaps. She pulls a syringe out of her pocket and starts towards you.
You turn around and sprint towards the waiting room. "Get him!" you hear Mandy yell. You hear growling behind you, and turn to see Arianna the panther leaping across the room after you, her glossy black coat gleaming under the lights of the dining room.
