Off in the corner, you see a dusty spiral staircase, leading up to a doorway-sized hole in the ceiling. Your curiosity piqued, you leave the front hall and begin climbing the staircase. Judging by the amount of dust on these stairs, they have not been used in a long time. You keep climbing and climbing, going around and around, until you finally reach the top.
You are greeted by a long hallway filled with many doors. Unlike the stairs, the hallway is bright and clean, and smells lemony, as if someone sprayed Febreeze in here recently. You take an uncertain step forward. Nothing happens. Sighing, you eye every door, looking for something interesting. The only two remarkable doors you can find are one with a "Do Not Enter" sign on it and the one on the end, where the handle is chipped and cracked like it was turned many times.
Flinging open the door, you find another staircase, a straight one this time, leading down into darkness. Not trusting it, you slam the door and instead try the other ones, You try every one but the "Don Not Enter" one and find them all locked. You turn to leave when you discover, to your horror, the door you came in has vanished: it's just a wall. You run over to it and run your hands over it, looking for a latch or something, but find nothing. Gulping, you look back. Your only two options are the "Do Not Enter" and the straight staircase. Not trusting the dark, you turn to the "Do Not Enter" one and twist the handle, expecting it to be locked.
It's not, however. The moment you fling it open, a jet of bright white light hits you in the face. It seems to be pulling you into the room. You grab to doorframe, trying t stop yourself, but you are drawn to the light and close the door behind you. Outside, in the hall, the "Do Not Enter" sign flies across the hallway and hangs on another door.
In the middle of the room is giant orb of pure white light. You throw your arms and hands over your eyes, trying to shield yourself from the light, but to no avail. The light seems to be expanding in size, filling every corner of the room. You back up until you can't anymore and run into the wall. The orb gets larger and larger, filling the room. Your eyes still shielded, you scream as it engulfs you and you feel yourself slipping into unconsciousness.
