As Spencer Lawson entered her third period class, she saw that the teacher wasn't in the room.
Taking this as a stroke of good luck, she quickly took her seat and pulled out her cellphone.
Not knowing how much time she had until the teacher did return, for cellphone use was not permitted during actual classes, Spencer hid the phone in her lap and hastily typed out a text message.
Spencer Lawson had just hit send and was hiding the cell back on her person as the class bell rang and the teacher reentered the room, never knowing what Spencer did.
MEANWHILE...
On duty at Moon Lake General Hospital, Doctor Maggie Lawson felt her cellphone vibrate in her lab coat, indicating she had an incoming text.
Not knowing who it could be, she looked at the message from her daughter in disbelief.
@SCH!JMAD!TRYING2BREAKE&MEUP!NEEDADVICE!PLZCALLDURINGSOPHLUNCH, with the time period listed afterward.
It took Maggie a couple of moments to properly decipher the alphabet soup into
AT SCHOOL!
JULIE (STOVALL) MAD!
TRYING TO BREAK ERIC AND ME UP!
NEED ADVICE!
PLEASE CALL DURING SOPHOMORE LUNCH, and the time of Spencer's lunch break.
Maggie Lawson took a quick look at her wristwatch compared to what time she could call, and began preparing a response for Spencer.
ELSEWHERE...
Martha Anderson watched as her third grade students were enjoying their lunch break in the Moon Lake Elementary cafeteria when she felt her cellphone vibrate.
With no one else around near her lunch monitoring position, she took the call.
"Hello Sexy," growled her husband William over the phone. "How's my favorite werevixen today?"
"Horny and missing her fox," she whispered into the phone, feeling her nipples harden at the sound of her life/mate's voice.
"I just called to tell you that my last class for tonight was cancelled. Something about the heater being bad in that wing of the building, so I'll be home by 6 instead of 8. Would you like to have some fun?" asked her husband.
"Only some?" she asked in return.
"That's my girl. See you later beautiful," he promised, before William hung up.
Being bi, Martha had a "date" with another teacher scheduled after school at the lady's apartment at 4; but that would still give her plenty of time to get home and freshen up for a night of hot sex with her husband.
With a smile on her face, Martha Anderson secured her cellphone and got ready to take her students back to class.
CONCURRENTLY...
Evan Lawson loved being a Navy SEAL.
Except for the paperwork.
So when his office phone at the military base rang, he jumped at the chance to set his pen down for a moment to take the call.
"Sir, I have the Mayor's Office of Moon Lake, Washington on Line One. Will you take the call?" asked the soldier assigned operator duty.
Oh god! What has Spencer done now! was Lawson's first thought, but agreed to accept the call.
It didn't help his mood any when the Mayor himself spoke.
After hearing the situation, the Mayor concluded by asking, "So, I was hoping that you might have a solution to our Walker problem."
"If I can speak candidly, Sean's a royal pain," said Evan. "It wouldn't hurt my feelings if he disappeared and was never seen again. NOT that I'm recommending that," he quickly stressed. "Never met or even heard of his father until now, but apparently the bad apple doesn't fall far from the rotten tree. Do you have a number I can reach you at?"
The Mayor quickly gave Evan both his office and home numbers, which the Navy SEAL wrote down on a piece of scratch paper before sticking it in the uniform pocket of his shirt.
"As soon as I think of something, I will call you back," promised Evan as they hung up, even as he wondered what he could do about the Walkers to keep Moon Lake safe.
BACK AT MOON LAKE HIGH SCHOOL...
As the third period of the school day ended, Nate Anderson felt his cellphone vibrate.
Walking outside the classroom, he paused to look at the text message.
I KNOW I SCREWED UP, BUT WANT TO MAKE AMENDS. WILL YOU LET ME?
It was signed K.
Not sure how he felt about his ex(?)girlfriend Kenya Adaeze, let alone her surprise offer, Nate just stuck the cellphone back in his pocket and went on to his fourth period class.
MEANWHILE...
With the end of his third period class, Eric Anderson went and got his fourth period books, as well as the library book he was reading, before heading to the school cafeteria.
Given the warning about Julie Stovall, Eric had quickly lost his appetite that morning, but knew he still had to eat to keep up his strength, especially since he had gym fifth period.
Sitting down with his tray, Eric began picking at his food while going back over the last couple of pages in Quantum Mechanics: Fact and Fiction, when a shadow fell over him.
Eric looked up and saw the one person he did NOT want to see standing over him.
"Can we talk?" asked Julie Stovall.
