Alex was a handsome, brown haired teenage guy. He was athletic and strong, with defined muscles, and he was 6’1” tall. Since the virus escaped, he sawn several people change, so he believed he will not change neither if he gets in connection with the virus. In his school were some half-monkey guys in other classes, he could see them in the corridors, but he knew they are not infectious any longer.
Now it was Sunday, and he was on the bus. He was travelling to the local park where he wanted to meet Eric, his best friend to hang out and check the girls. On the bus Alex looked around, and he saw a guy, about two years younger then himself. The guy was wearing shorts and T-shirt, and he was very hairy for his age. His leg hair was very dense and curly, some armhairs also appeared and a sideburn was appearing on the face of the guy. Alex knew what is happening to the guy, he knew that it is the way the change starts. Probably the boy did not knew yet that he was changing, otherwise he would freak out. Usually the guys starting to change freak out first. Alex was right, when the bus made a fast turn, the guy almost fell to his legs, when he saw them. ’No’ he said in disbelief ’no, please not me’ he said as he carressed his new leghair ’shit, my arms too, shit’ he get off at the next stop, and started to run away. Alex was glad this would not happen to him.
He arrived to the park, he saw some half monkey guys around too. There was a group of teens, most of them covered in fur, they tried to continue their life as a half monkey, though everyone know it was impossible, before or later they will not be able to control their primal urges. Eric was late, and when he did not show up after 15 minutes, Alex called him. On the other line of the phone Alex could here Eric’s voice, though it was a bit deeper than usual
’Sorry Alex, I can not come, I feel a bit sick, I totally forgot that we wanted to meet’ – said Eric.
’What’s wrong?’ – asked Alex, though he knew the answer.
’Nothing, just I need to skip this’ – told Eric, than he put off the phone.
Alex decided to go to Eric’s home. When he entered to the house, he knocked. Eric was home alone, as his parents travelled to a vacation. When Alex saw Eric, he could not believe his eyes. His once handsome friend was almost changed. On Friday his friend was a normal, handsome and very muscled guy, with black hair and blue eyes. Now all his body was covered in thick black pelt, his arms were longer, while his legs were shorter. He was trying to wear clothes, but only a white wifebeater and some baggy shorts were able to get on his frame, and Alex could see the thick black pelt covering his friend’s once bare chest back and shoulders. Long hairs were covering his arms and legs as well, and his skin (where visible) was a lot darker. His face was somewhere between human and of a gorilla, still seeing some features of his old friend.
’Eric, you started to change too, but you were normal on Friday’. – said Alex
’Yes, I know’ - said sadly Eric - ’And it means I was infectious on the whole last week’
’Oh, I am sure my immune system is strong enough, I think I will not change’ said Alex
’Are you sure, I was thinking the same too, but look at me’ – said Eric. Alex knew he was right. He talked to Eric for about an hour to calm him down, then he decided to go home. As he was travelling and thinking, he felt an itching on his chest, and as he scratched it, he felt some hairs. He knew what was happening next...
