Joe was a little early to school today. His Dad needed to be in to work for a business meeting, so he left Joe for school fifteen minutes early. He found his way to the classroom. Ms. Mason was to be absent so a substitute was to be in her place. A guy, he was apparently a cold man, who students felt they could open their problems to, though he was not a bad person in the slightest. "Some teacher he is though." I thought this to myself. I walked through the door. Slowly this time. Looking at my feet. But surprisingly nothing happened. Maybe Jared isn't here yet. No such luck. Jared and his cronies were to his right. They were pretty quiet though. Paying no mind to that I went towards my seat, but James wasn't here. "Is James here yet?" I asked a female classmate, but she ignored me. Bitch. Suddenly I felt someone approach me. "Oh James, you're here no... Ahhhh!" I was pushed as I turned around. Was it that little shit Jared? As I turned around, the person went on top of me. It was Jared no doubt. "Hey, let me go." In response I got a punch to the arm. No bruise though. "Ahhhhh!" That really hurt. "I'm the one calling the shots here!" Jared roared this out as I got another punch. "What are you doing?" "Whadya mean?" Another punch in the the face. Again no bruise. What the hell is wrong with this kid?! "You think you can make a fool outta me like that. I'm the best here. Not you, you little shit!" Punch after punch came down. This kid must have been angry about losing the game yesterday. What the hell? He was pulled up my the shirt's neck. "Don't you ever embarrass me again?! Got it?!" "Ahhh... Help!" "Shut up!" A punch in the stomach. That really hurt. He looked around for help, but none arrived. In fact they were all watching. Like it was just a normal day. Jared got up and was about to leave. Not on my watch. I leapt towards him, pushing him down. "What are you?!" I punched him in the gut, hard. "Ahhh!" Yeah, I bet that hurt. I punched him a few more times, but his group had pulled me off and threw me on the floor. "I'll fucking kill you!" This kid was definitely messed up. Joe realized he was in trouble now. He closed his eyes. "Stoppppppppppppppp!" He heard a familiar voice and something on top of him. It was James. "You jerks! Haven't you had enough?!" James was yelling at the little shits, covering my body with his own. "Get up!" Jared bellowed. "No way! Just leave him alone!" James looked like he was about to cry. "I said get up, accident boy!" Everything suddenly froze. Accident boy? What did that mean? It seemed everyone else had no idea what that meant. Except for Jared and his crew. And James. Ah, James. He looked quite ticked off now. But he didn't move. "Hey Jared! The teacher is coming. One of Jared's goons had been keeping watch it seems. Jared clocked his tongue and went to his seat. "Hey! Where are you...?!" I tried to protest, but James held me back. "What the heck dude?!" "Just.... Sorry John. Lets wait for tomorrow. For Ms. Mason." Ah so that what is was. The substitute wasn't the kind to talk to about this stuff. "Fine." I said that and walked with James to our seats. My body was red, but it would be fine by the end of the day. James was quiet as well. Day 3 of school had ended.
