Ryan strode up and down the aisles, not knowing exactly what he wanted, he just knew he needed some new shoes. As he wandered the store his thoughts began to drift to his older brother in the Army. He hope Derek was ok, he knew Derek had ben sent overseas to fight on the front lines in the middle east as a "peacekeeper". Ryan knew that was a lie but still respected and honored his brother's decision. He looked up and found himself in an aisle full of combat boots.
Ryan smirked as he picked out a pair that looked worn out and scuffed. Looking at the tag he saw that the boots were a massive size 13. "Guaranteed to fit, who is this shop trying to fool? There is no way these are ever gonna fit me." he said as he sat down to try them on. It was then that a clerk walked by and suggested he uses one of the dressing rooms instead of blocking the aisle for the other customers. He looked around noticing that he was one of the only customers in the shop besides a mother and her son, two skinny guys with glasses and a older man in a suit and tie.
"Umm okay, but I dont see how it matters, they're just shoes." Ryan told the clerk as he stood up again, grabbed the shoes and headed towards the dressing room grumbling. He walked over to the opposite end of the spacious shop to where the dressing rooms were and noticed they were all full. Ryan looked over the shoes again noticing that sand and dirt was caked into the bottoms of the boots as if they had been worn recently. He chuckled to himself thinking that the store couldnt possibly be any good if they didnt even bother to clean the shoes before putting them on the shelves.
